Hotel was lovely and good value for money . Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and basic but that was all we needed and all the essentials were in the room . Thank you for a pleasant stay .

I am writing to formally a complaint regarding my current stay at The Park Hotel (Room No. 25), which I booked from Friday to Monday for a family visit to London. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing and distressing. I am staying with my wife and two young children (a 10-month-old baby and a 6-year-old), and the conditions of the room have been unacceptable, especially for a family. The main issues we have faced include: A severe ant infestation in the room, which has caused significant discomfort and concern for the safety of our children. Lack of proper sleep for my wife due to constant worry about the ants affecting our babies. No working Wi-Fi. The television is not functioning. The bathroom door is faulty and at one point trapped my wife inside, which was a very frightening experience. Unpleasant smells and signs of poor hygiene, including possible mold. Due to these ongoing issues, our entire travel plan has been disrupted. We travelled from Manchester to London specifically for a family trip and had planned several activities and events. However, because of exhaustion, discomfort, and time lost dealing with these problems, most of our plans had to be cancelled. The total financial loss from cancelled bookings and travel expenses is approximately £800–£900. would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The first room I was given reeked of cigarette smoke. When I went down to report it, the receptionist reacted as though I was being dishonest, which was both frustrating and unprofessional. I was eventually offered another room, which thankfully didn’t smell, but getting there required walking through hallways that stank heavily of marijuana. I raised this concern as well, but nothing was done. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel were far below acceptable standards. The shower pressure was abysmal, making it difficult to even have a proper wash. There was no toilet paper in the room upon arrival—we had to request it ourselves, which should never happen in a hotel. On top of that, we were told there were no parking spaces available, despite this being something we expected as guests. What made the experience even more frustrating was being asked to pay a £100 deposit at check-in. Given the state of the hotel—dirty, run-down, and poorly maintained—it felt almost offensive to be asked for such a deposit when it’s hard to imagine causing any damage worse than what’s already there. To make matters worse, I even saw a mouse on the ground floor, which raises serious concerns about hygiene and safety. The property is very easy to find and situated near the park. The staff are very polite and lovely. The hotel itself is very nice but needs a little work. The room I adored and felt like a home I did not want to leave. I appreciate the luggage storage and the breakfast but I did not eat much! I would recommend another stay and book again!

Had to change my first room I was given had a double even though booked a single but as I walked in the room stunk of damp and no lock on the door and I was placed right by the entrance door. So they changed me to a single right at the top was ok but I think there is a drainage problem bathroom smelt damp funny smell too but ok with the door closed the carpets smell and had stains and I had someone try and open my room door In the night.
