I was expecting to share a bathroom, according to the description of my single room. Instead, my room was en suite, with a kettle and a fridge too. I was very comfortable and consequently rebooked for the following week. There is plenty of free parking, a bus stop is directly outside and the nearest tube stations are a short walk away, as are plenty of shops and restaurants. It's perfect for travelling to my job in central London and the price is very reasonsble. I felt safe and respected at Park Hotel, which is incidentally, opposite the very lovely Valentine Park

I would strongly advise solo travellers, particularly women travelling alone, to avoid this hotel. I booked what was advertised as a hotel room, but upon arrival I was unexpectedly placed in a separate house down the street from the main hotel building. This was not made clear at the time of booking. I was also required to pay a £100 deposit, which had not been clearly disclosed in advance. Late in the evening, a group of men staying in the house began congregating outside my room, knocking on my door, shouting, and laughing. Their behaviour became increasingly intimidating and I felt genuinely frightened for my safety. I called reception twice to report that I felt unsafe. The response was slow and dismissive, and I became so concerned that I was close to calling the police. When I asked for an escort back to the main hotel because I was too frightened to walk alone at nearly midnight, this request was refused. When I returned to reception to hand in my key and request a refund, the receptionist was rude and confrontational. Instead of showing any concern, he asked, “What’s your problem?”, dismissed my account, implied that I was lying, and refused to provide a refund. As I no longer felt safe staying there, I had no choice but to leave immediately and book alternative accommodation at an additional cost of around £300. My experience was extremely distressing and entirely unacceptable

The photos of the room on hotel.com.does not match the rooms In reality, the sheets were dirty. The room was in a poor condition. Damp water marks on the ceiling. Very very small, tight shower. The beds were damaged carpet in a very poor condition, not what I expected, please refer to photos. We arrived just after 10:00 p.m. so we're unable to look for another hotel.

Very good value en suite room at £27 including ensuite on a Friday night in Greater London with comfortable bed and bedding in hotel with very professional reception double manned 24/7. Only downside where there could be some improvement was unusually no bedside light of any kind and only overhead light with switch at the door meaning you have to get out of bed in the dark and stumble about to find overhead light switch. Also very slightly musty smell in these loft space rooms with skylight that could be sorted out by installing trickle flow ventilation and/or a dehumidifier.

I am writing to formally a complaint regarding my current stay at The Park Hotel (Room No. 25), which I booked from Friday to Monday for a family visit to London. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing and distressing. I am staying with my wife and two young children (a 10-month-old baby and a 6-year-old), and the conditions of the room have been unacceptable, especially for a family. The main issues we have faced include: A severe ant infestation in the room, which has caused significant discomfort and concern for the safety of our children. Lack of proper sleep for my wife due to constant worry about the ants affecting our babies. No working Wi-Fi. The television is not functioning. The bathroom door is faulty and at one point trapped my wife inside, which was a very frightening experience. Unpleasant smells and signs of poor hygiene, including possible mold. Due to these ongoing issues, our entire travel plan has been disrupted. We travelled from Manchester to London specifically for a family trip and had planned several activities and events. However, because of exhaustion, discomfort, and time lost dealing with these problems, most of our plans had to be cancelled. The total financial loss from cancelled bookings and travel expenses is approximately £800–£900. would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The first room I was given reeked of cigarette smoke. When I went down to report it, the receptionist reacted as though I was being dishonest, which was both frustrating and unprofessional. I was eventually offered another room, which thankfully didn’t smell, but getting there required walking through hallways that stank heavily of marijuana. I raised this concern as well, but nothing was done. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel were far below acceptable standards. The shower pressure was abysmal, making it difficult to even have a proper wash. There was no toilet paper in the room upon arrival—we had to request it ourselves, which should never happen in a hotel. On top of that, we were told there were no parking spaces available, despite this being something we expected as guests. What made the experience even more frustrating was being asked to pay a £100 deposit at check-in. Overall, this was a very unpleasant stay, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The property is very easy to find and situated near the park. The staff are very polite and lovely. The hotel itself is very nice but needs a little work. The room I adored and felt like a home I did not want to leave. I appreciate the luggage storage and the breakfast but I did not eat much! I would recommend another stay and book again!

Had to change my first room I was given had a double even though booked a single but as I walked in the room stunk of damp and no lock on the door and I was placed right by the entrance door. So they changed me to a single right at the top was ok but I think there is a drainage problem bathroom smelt damp funny smell too but ok with the door closed the carpets smell and had stains and I had someone try and open my room door In the night.

I would strongly advise solo travellers, particularly women travelling alone, to avoid this hotel. I booked what was advertised as a hotel room, but upon arrival I was unexpectedly placed in a separate house down the street from the main hotel building. This was not made clear at the time of booking. I was also required to pay a £100 deposit, which had not been clearly disclosed in advance. Late in the evening, a group of men staying in the house began congregating outside my room, knocking on my door, shouting, and laughing. Their behaviour became increasingly intimidating and I felt genuinely frightened for my safety. I called reception twice to report that I felt unsafe. The response was slow and dismissive, and I became so concerned that I was close to calling the police. When I asked for an escort back to the main hotel because I was too frightened to walk alone at nearly midnight, this request was refused. When I returned to reception to hand in my key and request a refund, the receptionist was rude and confrontational. Instead of showing any concern, he asked, “What’s your problem?”, dismissed my account, implied that I was lying, and refused to provide a refund. As I no longer felt safe staying there, I had no choice but to leave immediately and book alternative accommodation at an additional cost of around £300. My experience was extremely distressing and entirely unacceptable

The photos of the room on hotel.com.does not match the rooms In reality, the sheets were dirty. The room was in a poor condition. Damp water marks on the ceiling. Very very small, tight shower. The beds were damaged carpet in a very poor condition, not what I expected, please refer to photos. We arrived just after 10:00 p.m. so we're unable to look for another hotel.

Very good value en suite room at £27 including ensuite on a Friday night in Greater London with comfortable bed and bedding in hotel with very professional reception double manned 24/7. Only downside where there could be some improvement was unusually no bedside light of any kind and only overhead light with switch at the door meaning you have to get out of bed in the dark and stumble about to find overhead light switch. Also very slightly musty smell in these loft space rooms with skylight that could be sorted out by installing trickle flow ventilation and/or a dehumidifier.

I was expecting to share a bathroom, according to the description of my single room. Instead, my room was en suite, with a kettle and a fridge too. I was very comfortable and consequently rebooked for the following week. There is plenty of free parking, a bus stop is directly outside and the nearest tube stations are a short walk away, as are plenty of shops and restaurants. It's perfect for travelling to my job in central London and the price is very reasonsble. I felt safe and respected at Park Hotel, which is incidentally, opposite the very lovely Valentine Park

I am writing to formally a complaint regarding my current stay at The Park Hotel (Room No. 25), which I booked from Friday to Monday for a family visit to London. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing and distressing. I am staying with my wife and two young children (a 10-month-old baby and a 6-year-old), and the conditions of the room have been unacceptable, especially for a family. The main issues we have faced include: A severe ant infestation in the room, which has caused significant discomfort and concern for the safety of our children. Lack of proper sleep for my wife due to constant worry about the ants affecting our babies. No working Wi-Fi. The television is not functioning. The bathroom door is faulty and at one point trapped my wife inside, which was a very frightening experience. Unpleasant smells and signs of poor hygiene, including possible mold. Due to these ongoing issues, our entire travel plan has been disrupted. We travelled from Manchester to London specifically for a family trip and had planned several activities and events. However, because of exhaustion, discomfort, and time lost dealing with these problems, most of our plans had to be cancelled. The total financial loss from cancelled bookings and travel expenses is approximately £800–£900. Additionally, the stress and inconvenience caused to my family over the past two to three days have been considerable. Given the severity of these issues and the impact on our stay, I

When I went down to report it, the receptionist reacted as though I was being dishonest, which was both frustrating and unprofessional. I was eventually offered another room, which thankfully didn’t smell, but getting there required walking through hallways that stank heavily of marijuana. I raised this concern as well, but nothing was done. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel were far below acceptable standards. The shower pressure was abysmal, making it difficult to even have a proper wash. There was no toilet paper in the room upon arrival—we had to request it ourselves, which should never happen in a hotel. On top of that, we were told there were no parking spaces available, despite this being something we expected as guests. What made the experience even more frustrating was being asked to pay a £100 deposit at check-in.
