Nice hotel, very over priced, especially if you want to visit in November room prices are double. I had a minster view room and could just about see the tip of the spire!

Room was nice and spacious, but check-in was incredibly slow. I’d checked in online ahead of time, but we still ended up waiting 20 minutes in a queue!

Hotel was in great situation for walking everywhere. Room was clean apart from what looked like 💩 on inner toilet seat. I was frozen on 1st night as heating wouldn't blow hot only cold. Supposed to get sorted next day, i also asked for extra duvet as had to put clothes on to sleep. Room was a little bit warmer 2nd night and 2nd duvet helped. Manager has offered us 10 % discount and an upgrade next visit. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bar area was comfy with nice staff. We were 3rd floor so had to change lift's to get to our floor. Had balcony overlooking river. Definitely ask for river view as front of hotel face's buildings. Overall 3/4 stars I would reckon.

Hotel reception are friendly and helpful, I booked a standard room and it was definitely standard but fine for what I needed. If booking again would definitely ask for a room facing river rather than alongside the street, had no sleep between 12 midnight and 3 am due to rowdy "merry" loud people on way home or to next pub and this was on a Monday !!!

Very clean & quiet, nice breakfast, only thing to be aware of, is the rooms are very small, and the bed (at least in my room) is hard up against the wall which was a bit awkward. Would definitely stay again though.

I would say that the property is very well located for York City Centre. It is located right on the river, but please do be aware that there are a few pubs and clubs opposite which play loud music into the early hours which can be heard from that side of the hotel. The car park is small and not easy to get around if you have a larger car. For a hotel of this size the number of spaces is insufficient. We had issues with incorrect key coding which had to be redone twice, televisions switching themselves off, housekeeping leaving rooms with air conditioning on at a low temperature and for my parents this was too cold and it took a long time to warm up. If you want decaffeinated tea-bags I would suggest taking them yourself (I ended up buying some and then just asking for hot water in a teapot). I am also not sure what/how the so called scrambled eggs is made of as it tasted nothing like eggs! These were reported to the hotel and the staff were very good, whatever the issue they tried to fix it and I cannot say a bad word about any of them. I would not return to this hotel however but given the location and if you are aware of the points above it isn’t bad value for money.

Our stay was spoilt by the noise of night club on the other side of the river, we both had sleepless nights because of it. Just a small point we thought your choice of snack meals in the evening was poor, perhaps you could add a limited choice of a sandwich. All your staff were very helpful
