Cheap stay with good breakfast. Tram stop just outside. Room and beds were OK and decent shower. Hotel and room were cold, so need to turn on and crank up the heating.

It was constantly noisy, people noisy in the corridors, banging doors. The corridors smelled of drugs. I had issues with people trying to gain access to my room, possible disorientated. The night porter said he was aware of a particular group may be involved and would 'have a word with them'. On the website it didn’t mention parking has to be paid for...in cash only! Wouldn't recommend or stay at this venue again. 😬

Waiting staff at dinner very attentive, breakfast okay.. hotels a little tired and dated but it’s okay - stayed one night - parking cost £10 - night on top. Could do with a little extra cleanliness attention around the place and the smell of smoke from the reception area off putting.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at your hotel and I must say, the experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, providing a very comfortable and relaxing environment. The facilities offered were top-notch, and I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel. The location was ideal, close to key attractions yet peaceful enough for a good night's rest. Overall, I can confidently say that this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a superb stay. Thank you for making my visit truly memorable.

Expedia Group verified review

We booked this stay through Expedia and completed Expedia’s check-in review during our visit. On check-in, we received no information about breakfast arrangements, which left us to figure it out ourselves the following morning. This should have been clearly explained on arrival. Although the room was clean, it was clearly in need of a complete overhaul. The bedroom furniture was chipped and worn, the mirrors in both the bedroom and bathroom were rusty, as was the soap holder on the sink. The curtains were dusty and visibly faded, and the paintwork on the walls and ceiling was poorly finished, with peeling paint throughout. The uneven floorboards in both the room and corridors presented a safety hazard, particularly for guests with mobility issues. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Even considering the low price paid, we would still have expected a better standard than what was provided. While we were out for the day, the hotel contacted me to say they had read my review and were in a position to offer an alternative room. As we were due to return home the following day, I politely declined. I was also asked whether I would consider amending the review to be kinder towards the hotel, which felt inappropriate. Compared to our stay two and a half years ago, the hotel has noticeably declined. It is in urgent need of significant renovation, particularly externally, as the outside gives a very poor first impression.

Check in was quite friendly and simple. The hotel is simple and fairly basic but it's clean and very good value. The single room was small but had everything I needed. Small point but if you are larger then room 413 will not work well for you as the shower room was tiny with the shower door not opening because of the sink and the toilet was squeezed in-between the shower and the wall. I'm not that big but my shoulders were crammed in against each side. It was very clean and neat though. I'd suggest a bath mat could be a good idea for the shower. Breakfast was very good and in a bright spacious room with Sea and Promenade views.

It was £30. For that it has a 3* rating. The room was very small, the bathroom was so small that you couldn't open the shower door passed half way without it hitting the sink, but that was fine, I'm slim! A larger person could absolutely not use it or the toilet. My neck touched the sink using the loo! The shower head did not move so the floor got soaked when you switched it on to warm up. That being that for £30 - fine! The room however was filthy and that is not satisfacroty. The doors were covered in dirt - I really wanted to purchase a pack of flash wipes!! The king size mattress was overhanging a double base. There was no hairdryer (it states there was), the TV had stains all over it. I opened a drawer it had crumbs in. There was no headboard but instead a wall covered in dirt behind the pillows. The bed itself was clean. There was a chair. There were tea making facilities. No glasses or anything similar. If the room was clean I wouldn't have been bothered for £30... but yeah no excuse for that unfortunately.

No one at reception when we arrived, had to look around for them, up to ten minutes, fine when we found someone and pleasant. Room was comfortable and warm, dated but to be expected, beds comfy apart from bunk beds, kids complained to me about springs sticking up. I did ask for Seaview twice by message but never got one, would have been a nice gesture. Major issue with the room could have been for some some, main kitchen extraction fan/system outside window, starting at 7am, like an aeroplane engine. Lounge area looking into the promenade, good for the kids, pool table, connect 4.. All in all we had a good stay, do understand why it may not meet everyone's expectations though. Also minimum card payment 10.00 so bear in mind if only getting one drink. Drinks reasonably priced too.
