Grand Kanaya Hotel

While staying here, I had to change rooms three times. I was moved from the first room because the bathroom light was broken. In the second room, there was no telephone, no towel hanger. I tripped over peeling vinyl flooring. In the third room, the hot water was off, the AC wasn't cooling, and I fell because I slipped on a loose barrier between the ceramic floor and the vinyl flooring. Finally, I decided to check out that night. As of this writing, the hotel hasn't contacted me as informed at check-out. But I consider it my unlucky day. By the way, I was offered a room upgrade when I was about to check out, but I declined because I was afraid I'd get another dud. Also, pay attention to the completeness of the room's amenities. I also managed to borrow an iron, and the condition of the iron was terrible. The iron's main cord protector was exposed, so the main cord was clearly peeled and risky to use. I don't mean to badmouth this hotel, but I hope this can provide input and improvements for the future.

The distance to the city center is very close, and the environment around the hotel is very clean and comfortable.

The room we were in was dark, the atmosphere felt strange.

Please add more soap to the bathroom, it's too little. Improve the taste of the food.

The Wi-Fi didn't work at all in the room. I've complained repeatedly to the receptionist, but there's been no response. The AC in the room wasn't cold enough. Other than that, it was fine.

The hotel is old but there is no doubt about its cleanliness and the friendliness of the hotel staff is quite good as well as a large car parking area.

The swimming pool is nice, compared to hotels in its class... it's very good.

The service, from the security guard, receptionist, and staff, was excellent and friendly. The breakfast was quite tasty. The room we got had a lot of problems. The AC wasn't cooling, and the room leaked, likely from the room above. We complained, but the staff didn't take any action. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, and the toilet seemed clogged, so when we used it, there was a puddle of water that didn't drain immediately.

The AC wasn't cold, many of the lights weren't working, only one was working. The room smelled bad, the bed creaked and shook, and the slightest movement to turn over made a sound. The toilet was noisy and smelled damp. The chair provided was so wobbly it was impossible to sit on. It was a total dud. I checked in at 12 midnight and left at 7 am because the room was uncomfortable.

I booked two adjoining rooms, one for my children. My children's room had a completely new interior, while my room had an old interior and peeling walls. Hopefully, Hotel Kanaya management will address this. It was as shabby as the picture.

The swimming pool is popular with the children.
