Swissôtel Nankai Osaka

Would definitely stay here again, beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Loved being walking distance to Dotombori area and easy access to transit with NAMBA Station right below the hotel!

A 3 star room with a 5 star lobby and breakfast. SWISSOTEL has its location going for it and an amazing breakfast buffet with 360 views of Osaka from the 36th floor. But for a 5 star hotel we were left wanting more from the rooms. They are looking a bit dated and thread-bare. The shower/tub combo with 1/2 glass wall was a pain for anyone tall or wide. And room lacked the touches that would make it 5 star. At check in we called down to have our amenities restocked as they hadn’t been during room cleaning and were wanting showers but all the shower products were left empty- housekeeping came and dropped off tooth brushes but didn’t fill the shower gel, shampoo, etc. The pool is for lap swimming only and tightly managed. A staff member assigns you a lane and a time you must be out by (this was hard with an 8 year old who wanted to swim and play - not jumping or splashing allowed). All in all, with the number of hotels in the Dontonbori area we wouldn’t stay here again.

This was incredibly spacious for a Japanese hotel. They had every amenity possible, we didn't have to bring any toiletries. The staff was extremely helpful and had perfect english. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever experienced in my life. Everything was extremely fresh, seasoned, and cooked to absolute perfection.

Great hotel. Wish staff did a little better job explaining amenities, facilities, checkout and baggage transfer process— especially since I asked about it at check in. AC had issues when we checked in, and our night stand started flickering and clicking on and off at 7am on our last day— engineer couldn’t fix it because it was an electrical issue. Other than that, friendly staff, good food, and convenient location.

Stayed 3 nights at the end of our journey in japan and this was not the Best hôtel. Sheets and pillow were smelling. Everything is old and not really clean. Staff was ok, not really helpful. The only nice thing was the buffet in the morning and also the empire restaurant.

This hotel was one of the best we have stayed in Japan, its location is super close to the main shopping areas of Dotonbori The hotel sits above the Namba station and is served by multiple subway lines, so getting there is very easy from the Shin Osaka station. The room was very nice and we had a great view of the city from the 23rd floor. Breakfast was included and tasted well.

The location is wonderful!

Central location, big rooms and comfy beds and the view at breakfast is to die for. However very confusing accessing this hotel as it has no street access and part of a huge train station we constantly got lost which was a huge frustration for us. That’s why I only have it 4 stars but the property is lovely.

This is the best hotel at Osaka good location great staff helpful service. You will not regret to stay on this property.

There is absolutely no way on earth that this is a five star hotel and it shouldn’t be marketed as one. It’s very well located with great views from the lounge, clean and with helpful staff. But the furniture is not only badly dated, it’s cheap with the bathroom like something from a roadside motel. See photo. This room was a real letdown after the Hotel Royal Classic over the road. Great breakfast selection and being right on top of Namba station was a big plus.

This beautiful hotel on top of Namba station has incredible panoramic views of Osaka from the breakfast buffet at the top floor. Staff were always polite and very helpful making this a most memorable stay in Japan. Club Lounge is highly recommended for its delicious food and great ambiance!

If you want a 5 star hotel that is literally in the center of everything then stay at Swissotel Osaka! Never had to walk far to shop and eat . And onefeels safe. Staff was superb!

Love the location as the hotel is above Nankai railway which is easy access from KIX as well as close to major subway station.

Great hotel and staff!!!

Location is excellent, awesome beds and pillows. The only downside is the bathroom layout - it was a very odd design. This was our least favorite hotel.
