Hotel Nouvel

We liked the size of the room and it's proximity to all the great locations.

We liked the charm and location of the hotel, but there were a few things that we noticed and will consider if we stay there again. We knew when someone in another room above or by us used the restroom since we heard and smell it, the toilet

The Hotel Nouvel was a very mixed bag but ultimately was very dissapointing but it has the potential to be exceptional. It is located in the perfect location just off La Rambla and a 2 minute walk to Catalunya metro station. From the outside it looked a beautiful, quaint hotel but once inside it was a massive let down. For almost £300 a night i expect 3 things. The first thing i expect is it to be clean and modern and it wasn't clean or modern. There was a dried blood stain on the white bed quilt. The floor tiles were cracked and broken in a number of places and the doors were cracked and in desperate need of repair. It was less than modern and had one single socket outlet in the whole room which was located by one of the bed sides. What was amusing was there was a mini kettle in the room with tea & coffeee sachets but no plug point to plug the kettle in although i suppose you could have used the single socket right alongside the bed. The second thing i want in a room is working wifi. The wifi was probably the worst i have ever encountered, it was incredibly slow and kept dropping out every 30seconds or so and then you couldn't log back in. The room did i have my 3rd thing, a working safe. A mini fridge would have been nice but no such luck. The hotel does have a lovely roof terrace to relax on but the bottom line for me is the hotel needs closing down and a complete refurbishment. The breakfast at 17euros per person is way too much for what you get.

The hotel was in a great location, but there is only 1 lift and it was broken on check out so I had to carry my big heavy bag down the stairs. I know these things happen, but if you know people are checking out maybe offer a helping hand

Excellent hotel and location even better

Very close to city life and metro to get around town, but in a quiet alley. Great staff and wonderful stay.

affordability and close to everything

Stayed by myself in a single room. It was near the lift so a bit noisy but I had brought earplugs so I was fine. Bathroom was nice and clean and though the room was very simple it did the job for a short stay! The room has USB ports as well as traditional plugs which was useful. Staff were all very polite and helpful.

Friendly staff that could speak English. Very convenient location. Able to get taxis easily to the airport. Hotel had a nice charm.

Room had 1 bottle of water for 2 people. No tissue in the room, no shower soap or shampoo. We arrived at 9:30am was able to store luggage. When to room at 2:30pm - when they say 3pm check in -- They Mean It !! As with other hotels - check out 12. Doesn't balance out does it ? $300 per night WOW - surely 2 bottles of water per day, a tissue box and shower soap could not be more than few dollars per day. Think of all the positive good will it would have ! 🤗

Very quiet

Fantastic location- staff friendly- love the older boutique hotel. WiFi wasn’t great there but otherwise delightful.

Adorable, classic hotel in the gothic quarter adjacent La Rambla. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious bathrooms, and comfy pillows. Breakfast was tasty, and the AC was powerful. I would stay again!

The property was lovely..old charm..beautiful reception area..staff was very helpful..stored our luggage for us. The room was quite small..otherwise it was good..bed was comfortable. The location was everything..perfect. close to everything.

Beautiful building & excellent location.

This hotel was in the perfect location without needing any transportation to everything, shops, food and culture all within walking distance Extremely well kept property and staff was very helpful Just be warned that at first it is hard to find the hotel since the taxi couldn’t drop us off in front and we had a difficult time finding hotel And also thin walls so you may need to bring earplugs

Ideal location. The hotel needs a little sprucing up — especially the lobby.
