This was a very lovely hotel, close walking distance to night market and other activities. Since it's not on the main busy road, it provides peace and quiet. I highly recommend it. I enjoyed having a mountain view room.

The empress is located near the night market. The location is easy commute from the airport. The hotel staff are friendly & helpfull.

Bathroom - No Shower Pan. Bath tub bathing was sort of complusory, which became very difficult with corded shower. They should upgrade their bathrooms in totality.

We were given the old Empress Hotel. The room really needs updating. The electrical switches were broken. We had to call them to fix one of the switch. Bathroom had a tub which is so outdated. Very small bathroom. Not sure why they did not give us the new Empress building room.
