Hotel Majapahit Surabaya is a beautiful historic property and one of the most memorable hotels I have stayed in Indonesia. The architecture, atmosphere, breakfast, room quality, and most hotel staff were excellent. However, I had a very disappointing experience at the spa. The treatment lacked professionalism from the moment it began. There was little explanation of the process, very limited hospitality, and the massage quality was far below the standard I would expect from a five-star hotel. I ended the treatment early because I simply was not enjoying the experience. What disappointed me even more was the lack of concern afterward. No one asked why I finished early, whether there had been a problem, or how my experience could be improved. For a luxury hotel, this was surprising. I genuinely wish the spa experience had matched the quality of the rest of the hotel, because everything else about my stay was wonderful. The hotel deserves praise, but the spa department urgently needs better training, service standards, and guest care.

Lovely hotel that takes you back in time. It’s an architectural gem with a rich history intertwined with Indonesian independence. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the staff in the hotel go out of their way to make your stay memorable. This hotel was built by the Sarkies brothers who built the world renowned Raffles in Singapore. Highly recommend the Majapahit!

A long historic hotel that is well maintained & located strategically right in the great city of Surabaya. Lots of eating places & big shopping malls are within walking distance.

It was a wonderful stay. The room is spacious, the staff is lovely, and the location is great.

It was already nighttime when we entered the room. We wanted to clean up a bit and then go to sleep, but that wasn't possible. A few moments later, a mosquito came and attacked my wife. And (apparently) it wasn't alone... it brought dozens of friends to attack us. 🤣 My wife then called the staff. We were given Baygon spray and electric mosquito repellent. Anyway, everything else was fine, especially the old-school, classic feel.

Despite being in a busy area, the room was quiet and clean, making for a lovely stay.

All around five-stars experience. Thank you.

A hotel that I have long wanted to visit, thank God I had the opportunity because I had business. A hotel that is very suitable for various purposes, including family vacations.

Historical hotel in the heart of Surabaya with great hospitality from all the staff.

The hotel is old but still very well maintained, although there is some furniture in the room that needs to be maintained or replaced.
