staff were there on arrival . normally self check in. i was early lovely place room was clean . number 7 bus over the road into york parking secure and easy. i would stay again on my next visit to york thank you .

Big room Plenty of space but the bathroom needs a good clean and updating we didn’t use the shower due to it not being of a clean standard

Good room. Sorted us out well

Ok. For starters when I came, there was work going on downstairs I wasn't really fussed as I was going out However when I was in my room a cleaning my ears, a man just walked it without knocking He just went... Oh!! Sorry!! I didn't realise this room was occupied!! Luckily, I was just cleaning my ears 👂👂 But what if I'd been getting intimate or i farted ect Then the manager came and he at least knocked and he said that he'll need to come in the room at 5pm to check out the radiator I said it was fine as I was gonna be out that night When I turned the telly on, the remote wasn't working So I had to change the channels the old fashioned way with the buttons The location is exceptional and the busses run right pass it as it's on a big road which goes right into York city centre The bed was amazing and a nice soft mattress You get complimentary tea, coffee and a couple of biscuits You have a mirror and a sink with no hot water Id say that you get what you pay for in this accomodation It's exceptional. Not good but not bad either 😕😕😕😕

Booking and communication first class, a great price and room was spotlessly clean and as advertised.

Nice large room with comfy beds. Room was cold and noisy.

Room wasn't in very good condition - broken window, no lock on bathroom door, no fitting on end of bathroom pullcord, no bath or sink plugs. Beds were clean and comfortable and nice to have a fridge in the room. Would suggest self check in details are emailed to customers rather than longish number codes being relayed quickly in a telephone conversation - we'd just had a really long journey and were trying to juggle carrying luggage in with the phone.

After 4 hours of staying in the room a bug crawled across the sheet. When comparing this bug to an online search it is believed that this is a bed bug. Collections of bugs were found around the seems of the headboard.

Loads of parking and lovely walk to York centre

Was very tired and run down,basic but shower didn’t work properly head didn’t even spray water out properly the clientele staying made it feel like a migrant hotel and should have been notified of that

Ok for a 2star guest house, but more than a single star away from 4!

The check in was difficult as we were not given the entry code in advance and initially no one answered our phone calls. The room was nice.

Convenient location with great parking off street. Out room needed a little maintenance attention but it was comfortable for the night and reasonably priced.

Easy admission and easy comings and goings

When arrived, had to call a mobile to check in and was given a code for front door, then a code for the room, which seemed strange, but once in the room there was a key card, so was fine. Clean and tidy. Fridge in room as well as tea, coffee and bottled water. Had to hunt for the towels, as they were in the wardrobe! I (female) was staying with my young son and was concerned about the front door. Everytime we went in or out, it was either not shut correctly or someone had left it with the Yale lock unlocked, so anyone could walk in. You had to make a concerted effort to make sure the door locked, so being open could have been by accident, but when unlocked, someone had to have done that on purpose. There was parking at the rear, but this was reduced due to a truck being parked there, and how it was parked limited number of cars that could park without blocking in other cars. There was also a few spaces to park on the main road. Overall, the place was good, in a good location for the city centre, clean and value for money.
