Everything was perfect. Except no plug in the sink and the water was very hot. So not able to mix water. Also not informed it was self check in till

A very clean room with friendly staff and convenient albeit limited parking. Our issues came from the rail radiator in the bathroom not working as well as the bathroom being cold overall. The check in and check out processes were seamless.

Room was very cold, they did leave a radiators to switch on so took some time to heat up.Place vas clean and lot of space.Close to city centre, free car park. At like 10pm lights went out in all hotel so it took them till 3am to fix it. Another tjen that it was nice stay and good price.

The whole property is in need of a refurbish!
Our room, whilst dated but clean enough, had a dreadful musty, cat pee smell that pervaded everywhere … did ask for an air freshener ( which was provided) this is despite the window being wide open for fresh air

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel due to serious heating and hot water issues. We had to call reception twice just to get the hot water switched on so we could shower. At night, the water in the en-suite bathroom was ice cold, making it impossible to shower.
In the morning, I managed to shower at 7 am, but when my 10-year-old child tried to shower at 8 am, the water was ice cold again. When we contacted reception, we were told that if everyone in the hotel was showering at the same time, the hot water would not work. We were then asked to use a shared bathroom outside, even though we had specifically paid for an en-suite room.
In the end, we were forced to use the shared bathroom, which was also poorly cleaned. This was extremely inconvenient and unacceptable, especially when paying for basic facilities such as heating and hot water.
I would not recommend this hotel unless they resolve these heating and hot water issues and improve their cleanliness standards.

Ok. For starters when I came, there was work going on downstairs
I wasn't really fussed as I was going out
However when I was in my room a cleaning my ears, a man just walked it without knocking
He just went... Oh!! Sorry!! I didn't realise this room was occupied!!
Luckily, I was just cleaning my ears 👂👂
But what if I'd been getting intimate or i farted ect
Then the manager came and he at least knocked and he said that he'll need to come in the room at 5pm to check out the radiator
I said it was fine as I was gonna be out that night
When I turned the telly on, the remote wasn't working
So I had to change the channels the old fashioned way with the buttons
The location is exceptional and the busses run right pass it as it's on a big road which goes right into York city centre
The bed was amazing and a nice soft mattress
You get complimentary tea, coffee and a couple of biscuits
You have a mirror and a sink with no hot water
Id say that you get what you pay for in this accomodation
It's exceptional. Not good but not bad either 😕😕😕😕
