Choose other place. I found the dirty cloth on my desk when I came in and a big fry in my room. This hotel is very old and not pleasant to stay. It is very far from any place you want to go. I choose this place by seeing the picture. But I did not find anything there on the picture. Do not stay here.

Nice grounds. Location was far from any town so we had to use Uber all the time. This increased our costs. Breakfast was pricey and not offered as part of the stay. Room had no microwave or refrigerator. Was ok for the money.

While we appreciated the opportunity to use the pool at no extra charge when we checked in, our overall experience was disappointing. Upon approaching the apartment, the window and paintwork appeared neglected, with peeling paint. Inside, we noticed large areas of marks on the walls in the kitchen and lounge, dust on the fan in the kids' bedroom, and dirt and hairs in the bathroom. A used razor was left on the cupboard, and the floor was marked with grout. The overall appearance was untidy, with stains on the carpet and chairs, and the kettle was filled with limescale. The patio area was also covered in bird mess, and the outdoor furniture looked unkempt. Unfortunately, we were unable to comment on the food or breakfast, as we did not dine there or stay overnight. The number of issues we encountered made us feel unsatisfied with the stay, especially since no alternative room was available for our family of four. Ordinarily we would have put up with a few issues but this was too much to ignore. Poorly maintained and doesnt feel clean. Please read reviews next time. We booked this as it looked lovely but was very disappointed when we saw the room.

Dirty, worn, bad food, bad service

The location is stunning . The room was ok apart from the bathroom smelled. Some of the improvements were ok . When you order a £35 pound ribeye a steak knife should be placed on the table Would have liked some ketchup, nobody to ask same for breakfast.disappointed that they don’t except cash . Drinks are overpriced & if your serving Guinness put it in a Guinness glass & fill it to the top not a 3” head. Would I stay again YES definitely. It’s nice staying somewhere where you’re not worrying if your vans safe.

Really disappointed. One night stay for >£150, then told the gym was an extra £12 charge and breakfast an extra £16 (+£5 for standard breakfast items) making it £21 for 2 poached eggs on toast! My room was 2 single beds pushed together both of which had springs coming out the mattress. Bathroom was filthy, 2 members of staff entered my room without knocking. Woman on reception was helpful and the only shining light in this overpriced hotel.

Check in very slow checked in on line so no hassle but you try find room 422 out of 2-3 big buildings without cueing up to ask which took half hour as very slow at reception Don’t glasses in room or fridge as I’m guessing they want you to drink at the bar and at there prices can see why one rum and coke and a wine £18.18 was not told the swimming pool and spa was not included in room price £117 fir one night so that was another £24 for a few hours fir two of us As you walk in restaurant there’s a sign saying egg on toast or porage pancakes lighter breakfast is £5 so walked over to ask for this and was told no don’t do this £33 fur a full English or nothing Everything you did seemed like they were trying to take as much money as possible with out really doing a lot my view any way lovely buildings and surroundings pond out the front is nice would nit stop again unfortunately

Lovely setting

Property is in a great location and close to Warwick castle. Unfortunately the room was very dirty with dust and cobwebs all around the room. Some items in the kitchen were dirty and had not been cleaned. Pool was warm and the facilities were good.

Accommodation was nothing special but perfect for my needs and had everything I needed for a good night's sleep

I had booked a weekend for my parents in one of the superior rooms in the main house. When they checked in they were informed of where to park outside the main house. As we drove round there were a variety of barriers preventing us from parking, we were then informed that we would not be allowed to park as there was a wedding happening the following day. We were informed to park a distance from the main house and my parents to walk further (disabled parking was unavailable). My father, who struggles to walk and is 82 was left expected to walk much further than he was cable of. The folllowing evening when I dropped them back at the hotel only to find out that they were directly over the wedding evening, and could not sleep because of the noise. They were moved rooms but this added to a later than they were usual too late night. At no point were we informed that there was a wedding event, They were due to leave the following day at 0630 to travel back to Ellesmere Port to miss traffic. My father after this ordeal slept the rest of the afternoon (which is unlike him). I feel the whole experience has been completely ruined and the communication and sympathy and understanding very lacking. At this stage, I would not recommend. We expect a call to discuss from the venue and hope their reaction will amend our extreme disappointment.

Had historic room but was up two flights of stairs and no lift. Restaurant meant a walk outside. Weather was good but would be a problem if not. Breakfast was £13. Was ok. Pool was £12 per day which we did not know until we arrived. Plenty of parking and lovely grounds. Some parts greatly in need of refurbishment.

Efficient but not particularly warm welcome. Breakfast is not included so I can’t comment on that. £12 charge to use pool and gym was pretty steep so I can’t comment on that either. Bed was comfortable. Room was pretty soulless and the tea & coffee making facilities were perfunctory- no biscuits or complimentary water. Barman was very good. Probably a good venue for a conference or work event but I wouldn’t rush back

Beautiful area and very nice restaurant and I hope that they finish the main building which would be magnificent

stayed at hotel on 25 April 2026 for one night having booked a superior double room using hotels.com app. While the room itself was pleasant, the heating system was not functioning. I had to walk for more than 5 minutes to reception to report the issue, as the room telephone went unanswered. A small heater was initially provided, but it was insufficient for the size of the room. I therefore returned to reception to request either a larger heater or an alternative room. I was then shown another room; however, this was not of the same superior standard, and unfortunately, the heating there was also not working. As a result, I chose to remain in my original room, where a second heater was eventually provided. I had checked in late in the evening expecting a relaxing stay, but instead spent several hours trying to get the room warm, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, I noted that there were no dressing gowns in the room and no room service available, despite these being advertised as part of your offering. Overall, I am very disappointed with the level of service I experienced. I have contact the hotel directly before submitting this review and demanded an explanation but they did not even respond to my complaint.

Très déçu par mon expérience dans cet établissement. L’accueil a été particulièrement désagréable : aucune volonté d’aider lorsque j’ai demandé à décaler ma réservation, malgré une demande faite rapidement. Le manque de considération client est vraiment regrettable. Pareil pour Hotels.com qui ne m'a pas du tout aidé. Le service client est géré par une IA qui fait tout pour nous décourager de nos demandes. Ensuite, la prestation n’était pas du tout à la hauteur de ce qui est annoncé. Je m’attendais à séjourner dans un château, mais j’ai été logé dans des dépendances anciennes, mal entretenues et loin du standing promis. Il y a un véritable décalage entre les photos présentées et la réalité sur place, ce qui est trompeur. Au vu de cette expérience globale, je ne recommande pas cet établissement et n’y retournerai pas.

We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes). On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the wifi worked.

The rooms are very clean however the beds are not as comfortable as you would expect for this type of establishment. The staff was very friendly however the restaurant was very understaffed and the food was mediocre for the price. Nice place to stay but would not use the restaurants.

We've been visiting this place for decades and our most recent visit, since taken over by Sunday, fell short of expectation. Maybe teething or transitional issues but the place has lost its charm. We were surprised to be charged for swimming, £12 pppd, this had always been included previously. We went down to the bar and restaurant for dinner but left within 10 minutes as there was no atmosphere at all, you could hear a pin drop, no music or TV on, no one wanted to speak. We chose a table to sit on and it hadn't been cleaned, can't say the bar staff were run off their feet... The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are always clean, fresh, with everything you need. Now you have to request housekeeping via an App, it will not be done routinely. Obviously these companies want to find every way to increase profit but it might come at detriment to what makes this place lovely. Not sure we'll be back.

Room was clean and functional. Bar area was small but ok as wasn’t too busy. Too many emails and texts for check in and door code wasn’t received so still had to wait at reception to get that. We were going to use the pool but at £12 per person it was not worth it - there should at least be a concession rate for hotel guests. A functional stay but couldn’t consider it a good one.
