My wife, son and I booked the junior suite both prior to and after a cruise that left from the port of Athens. We stayed in room 900 which is a newly renovated room located on the top floor of the hotel adjacent to the infinity pool.
The Stanley is a newly renovated historic hotel located in central Athens. There is a subway station as well as hop on hop off tourist bus directly outside. Easy cheap access to tourist spots, airport, port.
This is the only Junior suite in the hotel, and its location offers views of the Parthenon in the distance as well as sweeping views of the city. The room has been newly renovated and is tiled throughout with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed and pullout sofa. There is a narrow balcony with glass railings as well as a large private patio area accessed through a sliding door. The bathroom is very large and well-appointed with a large glassed-in shower. We were impressed by the welcome bottle of wine on ice and fruit tray as well as the free stocked mini bar.
The room included a full hot breakfast which is served in the roof top restaurant. The breakfast buffet was amazing and included Greek specialties, North American foods and specialty coffees. The restaurant has plenty of seating as well as a great balcony.
From 4-7 there is a "happy hour" for suite guests in the mezzanine lounge that includes beer and wine and light snacks. Was a great way to wind down from the day!
The staff throughout were amazing- Great stay!

Helt ok hotell bredvid tunnelbanan med fin rooftop pool, bar och restaurang med vy över Akropolis. Jättebra frukostbuffé och trevlig personal. Det enda negativa var att det luktade unket på rummet men jag tror det var skurmedlet för det var rent.

Frühstück umfangreich und aus dem 9.OG mit einer tollen Aussicht. U-Bahn direkt vor der Tür. Einziger Wermutstropfen, die Inneneinheit der zusätzlichen Klimaanlage war durch ihr quietschendes Geräusch nachts nicht zu ertragen.
Und es gab keine Tür zum Badezimmer, nur zur Toilette. Wenn man nachts zu dieser musste und das Licht eingeschaltet, waren alle anderen wach!

Breakfast was amazing! The rooms are clean, but some areas of the rooms are very load the street over has a nightclub, and you can hear it very clearly when your windows are closed. Luckily, we asked to switch rooms and didn't have a problem afterwards

I have stayed at Stanley several times since 2023. This is the first time I leave a negative review for the hotel because it's not the same good value hotel anymore.I was waiting 10 min to check in because the front desk person (Kostas) was telling jokes in German with another couple. They didn't offer any upgrade because there was no other room available even with VIP access. Across the street the Wyndham offer points for loyal travelers and it is much better value hotel.

Wunderschönes Hotel. Wir hatten Frühstück auf dem Dach mit Blick über Athen und auf die Akropolis. (Nicht bei allen Zimmer) Super frische vielfältige Auswahl des Frühstücks. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.

War alles tipptopp und wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Zimmer sauber, Balkon vorhanden, tolle Aussicht (wir waren im 8. Stock) Personal nett und hilfsbereit. Der Pool ist ein Traum (auf dem Dach).
Etwas, was uns nicht bewusst war bei der Buchung: Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und die Dusche dementsprechend eng. Und man hört die Pumpen des Pools (im 8. Stock unterhalb des Pools).

Vollumfängliches Frühstücksbuffet, etwas wenig Steckdosen, darum eventuell Mehrfachstecker mitnehmen. Pool war zu frisch, (Anfang April) darum war niemand im Pool.

Only the rooftop pool looks nice.
The room is old. The mattress is very worn down, broken tiles, tiny shower with loose cover. The surrounding area is old, with broken buildings, unsafe to walk at night.
