The staff are very kind and efficient, the top floor has a most beautiful view, it can see the Arcropolis directly, you can choose it for the breakfast and dinner. A little but noise because it’s in the center of the Athens, and nearby Arcropolis. You can take a Uber just about 10 minutes, there’s a subway just walk out of the hotel 2minutes. You can walk to Hondors Center to shopping for walking 8minutes. The only one point , the bathroom is small, shower room is narrow.

Sehr gute Lage vom Hotel. Liegt direkt an der Metrostation und zu Fuß ist es auch nicht weit zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Dachterasse mit ihrem Pool und der Bar ist einfach unschlagbar. Volle Punktzahl.

Personal war in Ordnung, das Zimmer war jetzt not the yellow from the Egg.

The room was spotless and the housekeepers were so friendly and polite. Always available to accommodate our needs.

Love clean room, very quiet even though the view was street side. The staff were friendly and attentive. What really made it was the fantastic buffet breakfast and the pool views. We will 100% return to this lovely hotel.

The hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable but what stopped it getting a 5 star was that they had building work going on which started at 8.30 am until 9 pm we asked to be moved which the staff member did and the noise was hardly audible. Overall, though a good hotel

Nice hotel, walkable to most busy areas. Reception can get overwhelmed when coaches drop off.

My mother stayed at The Stanley for 14 days and absolutely loved her entire experience. The staff took incredibly good care of her, everyone was kind, attentive, and always made her feel welcome and safe. The room was spotless, the hotel is beautiful, and the Acropolis view was truly breathtaking. All the amenities were great, and everything was well maintained throughout her stay. We’re very grateful for the wonderful service she received and highly recommend this hotel.

The Stanley is a great hotel to stay at while visiting Athens. Here are some detailed notes about the property. Room: -Stayed in a room with twin beds -Bed was large and allowed us to both sleep comfortably (long enough for tall guests– I am 6-foot-2) -Bedding and pillows were very comfortable -In-room air conditioning was powerful and allowed us to sleep at a comfortable temperature–perfect for people who prefer to sleep cold -Balcony was large and featured solid views of downtown Athens, the valley/surrounding mountains -Curtains blocked most of the light, but if you are sensitive to light, bring an eye mask -Other room features: mini-fridge, safe for valuables, coffee maker Hotel/Amenities: -Amazing rooftop pool with stunning views of the Acropolis, downtown Athens, and sea/mountains on a clear day -Comfortable lounge chairs/beds at the pool -Huge restaurant/bar with amazing views -Elevators were a bit small and slow, so patience is sometimes required (also have stairs to all rooms if you prefer to walk) -Friendly hotel staff and cleaning crews -Relatively quiet rooms–did not hear neighbors, but the hallway can get a bit loud after 10 AM Location: -Hotel is located right next to the Metaxourgeio metro stop, which makes travel to major sites quick, easy, and affordable -Felt safe walking around streets at night, even though many surrounding buildings/streets appear rundown -Great bakery/coffee shop steps away from the hotel

Best location and service

Overall a good experience. Of the things that the hotel could control, they got mostly everything right. The staff were friendly and helpful in lots of ways, going beyond what was expected. The hotel internals were lovely and fresh and clean, the breakfast was a great spread, and the rooftop was pleasant enough. BUT the external area was shocking. The neighbourhood really let the whole thing down unfortunately, drug users, brothels, constant police sirens, men washing in the fountain outside the hotel, graffitti everywhere and bombed out looking buildings, made for an extremely poor and unsafe feel in the area outside, walking within the area at night didn't feel possible. Somewhat disingenously, the pictures of the hotel do not show the view out the front, not only is the accroppolis partly obscured by the Wyndham hotel, but as I say, the buildings opposite are ramshackle. I was so glad to find other parts of Athens that were well kept and had a warmer vibe, you just need to Scooter/Taxi to them.
