The Stanley

Staying at the Stanley was lovely, the views were amazing, however sadly the Hotel across the way with its big Blue sign ruined the night time view. The food was amazing too although it’s a shame that the room menu wasn’t available in the restaurant still really nice though. The staff in the Hotel were very welcoming and friendly and very helpful nothing was too much for them, our rooms were always cleaned well and made tidy on a daily basis too. We really enjoyed our stay in Athens

This hotel should be rated as a 2 star hotel- DEFINITELY NOT 4 star! Our room upon checking in was very loud and basic. We requested a room not overlooking the main traffic circle. We were moved to a room where the shower had no glass or any way to stop water from flooding the entire bathroom! Btw- we booked an executive room! It was like a bad joke. Can’t imagine what the regular rooms are like. When we called housekeeping for extra towels they never came. The front desk staff is clueless. They acted like they had no idea about what we described! The hotel overall is very outdated. And the neighborhood is not very safe. We learned from our local private guide that this neighborhood was good 20 years ago- but certainly not now. The only plus is that it is next to the Metro. We only stayed a second night because we had a guided tour the next morning!

A lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, nice food, fully air-conditioned. Beautiful rooftop pool with sitting-out area.

Great pool area, Room was a little tired but clean

High-class hotel. Well placed in city center for transportation. Excellent attentive and friendly staff.

Hotel was clean and very convenient with a metro stop out front. The cafe on the street was also very nice and we stopped there every morning. Staff at the lobby were friendly and very helpful. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the food at the restaurant. I had the ribeye one night and the filet another. But we mediocre at best. My wife did not enjoy her meals either. We also found the restaurant staff to be not nearly as friendly as the staff at the front desk. Overall a good experience though and will recommend the hotel to others.

Amazing hotel, roof top pool, bar and restaurant were exceptional!

Roof top pool, bar and view was exceptional. The breakfast which is included, was on the roof. The food was amazing. The room was small but clean with marble floors. The bed was two singles pushed together, which isn’t ideal, but the mattresses were comfortable. The shower is very tiny and not easy to move around .

Breakfast buffet was fabulous. Staff excellent. Executive lounge was a great perk.

Big family room, great roof top bar and pool area - better than those in the city centre. Great breakfast. Only downside was the loud banging and maintenance work being done in the early hours / mornings. Would have been nice to have known this before arriving to see about moving rooms or changing out travel timings.

This is our second stay at the Stanley. The staff is amazingly friendly and the breakfast is great. The roof top is the place to be to see the great views. Thank you to George(luggage), Dimitris(reception), Tanjia, Theodoris, Xristos at the restaurants they were wonderful. Thank you also to the Albanian lady who took care of our room during the week. We’ll be back! 😁

Pool area and rooftop restaurant were great. Room were tired and needed a refresh. Breakfast was ok, not a big choice and many tables were left uncleared after guests had left.

Superior room disappointing. No double bed just two singles pushed together. Shower did not regulate temperature and shower head fixing ineffective. Executive lounge 'nibbles and drinks' poor and very disappointing. Sunbeds in pool area need to be monitored to stop guests putting towels down and disappearing for hours! Sadly location very poor. Neighbourhood rundown and unsafe.

Check in initially went well. We were told we were given a room upgrade. The room was definitely not an upgrade!! The floor was under construction and the noise level was extremely loud! A lot of hammering and drilling. When we inquired how long the noise would continue, we were told it was from 9am to 9 pm. We asked for a quieter room and the front desk reacted with an attitude and our room was downgraded. There is no way the hotel did not know about the noise on this floor and they never seemed apologetic for assigning us to a room on it.

The breakfast was incredible; it was the best hotel breakfast we had in Greece. The hotel was very nice. There were reviews saying that it's in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood, but if you're familiar with cities, you'll be fine. The rooftop deck is very nice, though the pool is a little cold. We were very happy with our stay here. This hotel is also located right by the metro station, and an easy few stops away from the Acropolis. We also did the executive lounge upgrade and enjoyed getting the extra coffee and soda to help us get over jet lag. Overall, if I come to Athens again, I will definitely stay here again, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Very centrally located, east to get around Even though we were on the 8th floor there was lots of street noise. The breakfast and the staff were outstanding.
