We are returning guests, therefore love the property and its location. We had a 1 bedroom on the top floor, and were lucky to have various beach glimpses thru the buildings, sadly new construction at Neicon will cut that off on one side in the future. Our favourite pastime is sitting on the balcony people and car watching. This last unit we were in, was a bit of an odd layout and smaller than others we had been in, but, it was clean and comfortable. This trip we had bad rainy weather so didn't even use the indoor pool, but, as I said we've been here before, and it's always well maintained. Lifts were fast, reception are great, parking is easy and so are the walks to wherever you want to go. Even an easy walk to Pacific Fair and we are in our mid 70's. Tram out front. The Phoenician has it all.

It was in a lovely central area in Broadbeach. Close to everything. The place is a tad old but had a great indoor pool, spa and sauna

I've been coming to this hotel since I was a child, (30 odd years ago), so I have fond memories of family holidays here and other than a brief pause over COVID, I've come at least once a year with my young family. This time felt a bit different though. While they do a great job of maintaining the massive building and surrounds, this grand old lady is showing her age. Rooms have always been dependent on the owners investment and while my (connecting) room wasn't in bad shape, it is my experience that there has been a general decline in standard and quality over recent years. Water damaged ceilings, kickboards peeling, walls patched and barely painted, original appliances in the kitchen, beds with little to no support. Cleanliness has also been an issue in the last few stays, I found a lot of head hair around the apartment, food under couches, lipstick on drinking glasses, etc and two cockroaches along with a blocked vanity sink (which was promptly resolved with reported). For the first time ever, we also had a sub-optimal interaction with one of the receptionists, no big deal, just not what it used to be. I think what struck me this time is that to accept the declining standard you really need to lean into the "value" of large, self-contained units with great proximity to Broadbeach. I fear the decline in quality is starting to outpace the "value" proposition with better options, e.g. similar vintage, size, newer fit-out and ocean views for same / similar money.

Proximity to Broadbeach precinct restaurants was great. Room was comfy and clean.

Needs better focus on cleaning. The room has a smell of sewage.

Good area

Easy stay. Friendly staff. Clean room. A faulty light was fixed immediately, no hassle. Navigation around the building was a little confusing at first with multiple entrances.

Our apartment had such a comfortable bed. Other than that it was extremely disappointing. We booked a 4 star apartment that certainly wasn’t 4 Star. It was very worn, dirty and neglected. All the door, window, wardrobe and shower tracks were filthy. The balcony furniture was weather beaten and old. So much more we could say. No comparison to other 4 star apartments we have stayed in.

Quite rude type receptionist , toilet was too small where you sit on seat you always hit the side wall. The only thing good was location. One one tiny little soap and shower get for two people. If you don’t clean your cups of glasses you will be charged $50. Awful. Ripoff

Great location, clean and tidy rooms. Kitchen facilities were awesome.

Its one of the few hotels that dont charge you parking fees most hotels shpuldnt be charging but phonecian is a olser hotel but is relaxing to rest up on and close to everything

Tvs didn't work had buy my own batteries for the remote

The staff were on it straight away and i left happy didnt go to the pool cause of lousey weather
