Everything was great

The stay was wonderful overall. The view was beautiful, and while the rooms are a bit older, they have everything needed for a comfortable stay. However, despite reserving a two-queen room, we were told at check-in that they had “run out” of that room type. We were then pushed to upgrade at an additional cost. The agent initially suggested a very expensive upgrade, which I declined, followed by another paid upgrade option. When I declined again, I was told there were no other options and that we could not keep the room type we had originally booked. It was frustrating to feel forced into paying more upon arrival, which unfortunately took away from what should have been a smooth and enjoyable check-in experience. That said, the hotel did offer a complimentary dessert, which was appreciated, but it didn’t fully offset the situation.

Outdated amenities, worn beds and sheets, no bottled water at midnight, and a room that was too small despite being booked for three made the stay very uncomfortable. Overall, poor service and facilities did not match what was promised.

Ocean view, pleasant staff, overall great stay

Beautiful view

The hotel is very clean and our room is spacious with stunning inner harbour view. All the staff we encountered at the hotel (concierge, front desk, cafe, restaurant and housekeeping) were extremely friendly and helpful. The services are above average hotels we stayed in before. The cafe and restaurant are plus for our stay as it is very convenient for us to have early coffee and breakfast, or easy dinning experience after a long day of sightseeing. The view from the restaurant is marvelous and peaceful. The coffee and food are tasty. The tiny garden with blooming cherry blossom during our stay gave us a calm vibe in the morning. The hotel is also well located in a quiet area of inner harbour and walkable to downtown and fisherman's wharf. We barely used Uber or public transit to visit most of places we would like in Victoria. We highly recommend staying at Inn at Laurel Point if you visit Victoria.

Staff was excellent — room was clean — bed was super comfy

I have stayed here before and it never disappoints. Great staff, lovely location and rooms are very comfortable too. Highly recommend ❤️

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was delicious both breakfast and dinner. The coffee shop/ bakery served some of the best cappuccino and flat white have ever had. Baked goods were pretty good as well. The older wing rooms were spacious but starting to be ready for a remodel. I don't think any room would have a bad view. Would stay again no doubts.

Well groomed staff, Clean and very well maintained rooms, daily cleaning, perfect location, great food at Aura Restaurant. Highly recommend for stay in Victoria - for both business and pleasure

Clean and well appointed room, beautifully landscaped property grounds, very accessible to nearby amenities and attractions, with immediate access to waterfront trail. Would definitely recommend come back and recommend staying here.

Room had issues with bathroom - no stand alone shower - tub had a 12 inch wide rim and was high- difficult to get in and out of Toilet very low - bathroom overall required update - countertop had edging paint chipped VIEW with room balcony amazing!! Very clean and very comfortable bed with capacity for phone/laptop plug ins - internet great! Hotel dinning room and breakfast offering excellent - loved this hotel except for bathroom requiring update

For a hotel with this price, it was missing basics: 1/ no rail in the tub to hold on to when leaving a tall wall tub. It was a safety hazard. 2/ no hangers for towels in bathroom 3/ no small mirror in the bathroom for make up 4/ completely empty refrigerator, not even a bottle of water 5/ no laundry bag. These are the basics of any hotel stay.

The wifi was good. The view of the blooming trees on the property were very beautiful. The pool was a little chilly but still nice and refreshing. Staff and room clean
