Friendly staff , healthy breakfast, cleanliness

They called me in my car because I forgot to take off the Do-Not-Disturb sign all day, asking if I still wanted my room cleaned. This was nice of them, so we had fresh towels, etc., when getting back to the hotel. If you submerge yourself quickly in the indoor pool, you get use to the temperature right away. Each day we enjoyed the free Continental breakfast (no eggs or waffles) but enough bagels, pastries, portage, etc. to fill you up. The last day I treated myself to the $8.00 choice of different eggs or French toast, etc. with potatoes. It would have cost me a lot more for a couple of breakfast items from a fast food place. The front desk staff went out of their way for helping with special requests and the breakfast staff were friendly, making you feel like guests in their homes. This is why we returned to the Monte Carlo Inn for the second time. Also, being close to Steels, Highway 7, the 404, and the 407 helped get us to multiple places in minutes. If you don't know the city, give yourself lots of time during rush hour(s). Another perk was the T&T Chinese market within walking distance. They have a huge selection of heated to-go items by weight. Don't bother asking the market staff if something is spicy. What Chinese people think is definitely not spicy, will send you running for water. My Chinese wife is still laughing at me :) Note: The only sad time was at the breakfast, watching Canada lose to the U.S. in only 100 seconds of overtime. :(
