Room needs to be renovated, pool was not open and in need of repair. Carpet was stained. Limited TV channels. Too expensive for the condition of room

Overall it was a decent stay. The pool was “closed for maintenance” for the duration of our stay. I wish we had been told when booking as that was part of the reason we booked that hotel. The room had been maintained and you can see they fix what they can as well as they can. It could use an update but overall it was clean and decent. The pool has hours listed on it. The fitness room does not have hours nor was I informed of the hours when checking in but when I was halfway through my workout I was told it was closed. I incorrectly assumed it must be open whenever since there were no hours posted. So that was embarrassing and I left as quickly as I could. So ask about the hours before using the fitness room. It has 3 machines. A treadmill (which doesn’t stop without pulling the emergency cord or decreasing the speed all the way) an elliptical and sitting bike and then some mats and weights. It is decent for what it is. Overall, I might stay there again as it worked for what I needed it for but I’ll be asking about the pool before booking and asking about the hours of the fitness room as I still don’t know those.

Great sleep

Rooms was clean and had everything we needed. Having Dennys attached to the hotel was incredible convenient with them being open all hours and serving something for everyone, we had dinner and breakfast there and everyone enjoyed the food and the staff there were great also. Great location just minutes away from where we needed to be and close to anything you could need in Cranbrook. Would definately stay at this Sandman again for the great location and easy access to food at the Dennys.

The only thing that saved this from one star was the extremely helpful staff. The thermostat in our room was broken and it was hot as the tropics, and we found ants in the bathroom (mid February). We switched rooms only to find that we couldn't adjust the temperature in our second room and had to open the window to get cool air. Walls and carpets were filthy.

First and last Sandman experience. Floors were sloped and stairs were slanted. Room was not nice and the bed was not comfortable. Worst sleep I’ve had at a hotel. Trains non stop all night.

Room was clean! Staff were super friendly. Was a bit of a mix up with the room I booked, but front desk lady resolved it for me.

room's safety chain broken, but I put a chair against door knob.. very noisy but I figured out the side door and stair well was probably why. But overall it was good.

Dated but clean rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy Checkin & Checkout. Competitive Pricing, Great Location.

Room was nice and clean, only issue was the housekeeping staff are quite loud first thing in the morning. Our sleep was interrupted at around 8am with very loud talking and slamming of doors. Other than that, great stay!

Clean rooms, parking was easy and connected straight to a 24/7 Denny’s which was convenient. Could use a little upgrading in the rooms services but all in all a good stay.
