마로드 하코네

The hotel was so nice and clean, though the shuttle service ends early in the evening at 6pm,

전반적인 숙소의 분위기는 좋았지만, 접객하는 태도나 청결도 등이 조금 아쉬웠습니다. 주변에 좋은 다른 호텔들도 많으므로 적은 가격차이라면 다른 곳을 추천하고 싶네요.

접근성이 조금 떨어지는 단점은 있어도, 하코네 순환버스 S버스 정류장 가까이에 있으니 그렇게 불편하지 않구요, 호텔은 조금 오래되고 낡았지만 지금 리모델링 중이라 나중에 더 나아지겠지요. 그런데 무엇보다 먼저 직원들의 친절함과 환상적인 조식과 석식이 너무나 좋습니다. 하코네 자체가 산 지역이라서 여름에 가서 시원한 휴가를 보내면 딱 좋을 것 같네요. 전반적으로 매우 만족합니다. Accessibility is little bit hard but S-bus-stop is nearby. Hotel remodeling is going on. The best of this hotel is their kindness, good English and fantastic breakfast and dinner provided. Maybe much better in Summer vacation for this hotel which locates in mountain area, cool and good atmosphere.

호텔 수준은 4성급입니다. 청결, 객실 가구, 조식, 온천 이용은 매우 만족합니다. 하코네 지역 특성상 호텔까지 대중교통 이용은 불편합니다. 하지만 호텔셔틀버스 서비스를 이용하면 됩니다. 단점은 호텔 룸에서 와이파이 이용 안 됩니다. 라운지에 나가서 이용할 수는 있습니다. 호텔 직원과 이야기할때 영어 보다는 약간의 일본어를 사용하면 더 좋을듯 합니다.

We stayed in a Deluxe Room which was fantastic—apparently recently renovated, and the new touches were excellent. We also appreciated the arrival Happy Hour with unlimited drinks and light snacks. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. The service was deeply disappointing. The staff seemed completely bothered by our presence and rushed us through interactions, including breakfast orders. The low point was dinner: we were told the restaurant was 'full' and had to find food elsewhere, despite seeing only about five people dining inside all night. Since the hotel is isolated up a mountain (a 30-minute walk to the nearest conbini) and they offer no room service, we were left stranded with no alternatives provided by the staff. Note to travelers: We luckily found Bombay Hakone, an Indian restaurant that delivered excellent food up the twisty mountain roads in the rain—major kudos to them. As for the facilities, the onsens were nice but small, and the outdoor roof leaked, dripping ice-cold rain on us while trying to relax. I have stayed at many ryokans and hotels in the Hakone area; this was my first and last visit to Hotel Marroad.

Rooms were s!all but clean. Happy hour offered with free drinks.

Very clean room, with fabulous view. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was waiter service, very efficient, and delicious food.

I had an amazing stay at Marroad. On the outside, it looks a bit outdated, but the interiors are well maintained. I absolutely loved my room — it had been renovated, everything looked new, and it was both spacious and cozy. The staff were very kind and attentive. Another nice thing to mention is that they offer a free shuttle service from Gora Station to the hotel; you just have to call upon arrival.

Hakone is beautiful, we loved our stay here. Felt a bit more quaint and cozy then I imagine maybe some other options or that is just generally the vibe for a small town in the mountains. The alcohol amenity and bar snacks were a lovely touch. The onsen was small but never crowded so it didn’t feel that way. Would absolutely stay here again if my luck brings me back to this place.

Property doesn't have any laundry and staff doesn't respond to any email. Otherwise, hotel is clean and staff is friendly and helpful.

Too expensive for the actual onsen installations.

The staff was very hospitable and welcoming. They were ready to assist with anything we needed. The French cuisine was delicious, and the service in the restaurant was top tier. Great property, I’d stay again if I visit Hakone.

The view, how quiet, and clean it was

The 2 beds were too close to get in and out of the one closest to the wall. The price of the food was almost the same price as the room, I guess to make up for the free booze, but we don’t drink alcohol so it was not really worth the price, the only thing we found to be worth it was the onsens but were divided by gender so as a married couple we were disappointed that we couldn’t use it together!!!

Best experience ever
