This has been one of the worse stays at ibis I’ve had over the world.
Firstly, our eurostar train was cancelled due to a fatality so we could not arrive on the first day of our booking, when I called the hotel to let them know and ask if it was possible not to get charged as it was beyond our control, the member on the staff said to me ‘tell me if you are coming at all or not, we are very busy, if you are not coming we can give the room to someone else’. Let alone discussing or responding to my question, being told that they’ll give my room to someone else if out of order and extremely disappointing to start with, this was hence my first impression of this hotel.
On arrival after such a hassle next morning I arrived to find the room in ok state, beds were made but the room didn’t seemed to have been cleaned, bathroom sink wasn’t clean and there were no toilet rolls, had to come down to the reception for the toilet roll, before popping out of the hotel.
Also, the room smells musty and smoky throughout the stay. Not acceptable at all.
Next when we got back in the evening went in to have a shower only to realise there was only 1 bath sheet between two adults.
Staff did not bother to apologise of compensate in anyway when I told them at checkout.
I would like a full explanation about the poor service and attitude of your staff.
