Prachtige accomodatie, heel centraal gelegen in Funchal met parkeergelegenheid, heel vriendelijk personeel, fantastisch ontbijt, geweldige roof top bar met zwembad en sauna. Een echte aanrader dus!!

Very nice hotel and staff

Me and my wife had a great stay here for a week in july 2026. The hotel has a very good central location. There is a nice roof top bar with a swimmingpool. It is not huge but does job for cooling off and having a good time. We went to the pool at different times nearly every day and there was always space for us so no crowding here. The breakfast buffet is very nice. On Sundays they run a buffet dinner including wine which was super nice - I loved the lamb. We also have to send out big hug to all of the staff of the Vine. You are all amazing and we felt very well taken care of!

As usual we found The Vine up to it's usual high standard. The staff are undoubtedly the stars. We have lost count of how many times we have stayed here. It is ideally situated close to the centre of Funchal. One new feature we found was the Sunday evening buffet with entertainment by the Madeira Folklore group. Excellent value, with an incredible hot and cold buffet, drinks included. Highly recommended, and we will certainly be booking our place on our next visit. Also worth a mention is the spa treatment, incredible massages. Thanks once again to the incredible staff for looking after us so well.

The location, roof top pool/bar and beautiful room/amenities were perfect for our short stay in Funchal. Easy private parking was also a plus as we had a car to explore the island.

The hotel was great and really well situated. The two pools on the roof were also great and never busy. All the staff especially the reception and over breakfast Antonio in particular were amazing. The breakfasts were the best we’ve had for a long time. Really enjoyed our stay and if we visit Madeira again without hesitation I would pick The Vine

Great place and staff!

Our fifth annual stay at The Vine. We love the breakfast and all the staff are very friendly. Great location.

Wij verbleven in een Junior Suite en waren meteen onder de indruk van de ruime kamer met de vele ramen, waardoor er veel natuurlijk licht binnenviel. Het bad achter het bed gaf de kamer een originele en luxueuze uitstraling. Ook het rooftopterras en het zwembad waren absolute pluspunten. Het zwembad heeft een unieke kleur en is een heerlijke plek om te ontspannen. Het ontbijt was uitstekend, met een ruime keuze en kwalitatieve producten. De ondergrondse parkeergarage was erg handig, en de ligging van het hotel is ideaal. Je bevindt je midden in Funchal, op wandelafstand van winkels, restaurants en bezienswaardigheden. De directe verbinding met het shoppingcentrum is een extra troef. Wij kwamen midden in de nacht aan en moesten even zoeken hoe we het hotel konden binnenkomen. Uiteindelijk reden we de parkeergarage in, wat achteraf de juiste keuze bleek te zijn. Het enige minpunt tijdens ons verblijf was dat het zwembad één volledige dag gesloten bleef vanwege een probleem met de waterkwaliteit. Bij een kort verblijf is dat jammer, omdat je daardoor een deel van de faciliteiten mist. Ondanks dit kleine ongemak zouden wij dit hotel zeker aanbevelen aan iedereen die Funchal bezoekt. De combinatie van comfort, locatie, faciliteiten, vriendelijk personeel en een uitstekend ontbijt maakt het een zeer aangename verblijfservaring.

We stayed at The Vine to celebrate our 30th wedding Anniversary. We arrived hours before check-in. Not only were we checked in early, we received a room upgrade. When we entered the room, we were greeted with a welcome note and a bottle of champagne , We were able to shower and relax after traveling overnight and were totally refreshed when we began to explore Funchal! Disaster struck during the 4th day of our stay; my wife broke her ankle requiring surgery and a short stay in a local hospital. This is where The Vine went above and beyond to take care of me while I was alone and both of us when my wife was released from the hospital. Our stay was extended indefinitely until we could provide a departure date (since I had no idea when she would be released), Team members made special effort to find an accessible shower bench for her use when she was able to return. The front desk offered and provided a wheel chair enabling us to salvage what we could of our plans. When we finally were able to make our departure plans, The Vine handled everything - we got the assistance needed to get us safely to airport handicap services and our departure was a breeze. The early breakfast was delicious as it was during every day of our stay. Long story short, Team Vine accommodated us in countless ways. The location, amenities and most of all, Vine team members, shine above and beyond expectations. This was the very best hotel experience we have ever experienced.

Séjour formidable à Funchal. Personnel très professionnel et serviable. Parking facile d’accès. Je recommande cet hôtel les yeux fermés qui propose un excellent rapport qualité prix et un emplacement central pour visiter Madère.

Excellent location, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms showing their age. Smart switches and TV service were finicky and unreliable. No ability to access or use Netflix, Amazon Prime or cast from your phone. Mattress had indents on both sides, needed to be replaced.

Von der gebuchten Abholung am Flughafen, über den freundlichen Check-in, Drinks an der Bar, vielfältiges Frühstücken, Betthupferl, hervorragender Aussicht beim Schwimmen im Pool, modernen Zimmer mit bequemen Betten bis zum Rausfahren mit eigenem Mietwagen: hier wurde an alles gedacht. Wir konnten einfach genießen. Fantastisch!

An excellent place to stay in Funchal! A very convenient location, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. The staff is very attentive, the breakfast is wonderful and varied, and there is a rooftop pool and bar with a magnificent view!

Everything was absolutely fine during our stay. Service, parking, food, and overall hospitality were all very good. The hotel was comfortable, well organized, and the staff was professional and helpful. We had a great experience overall.

We had a nice stay at The Vine. It was overall clean and very modern in most regards. It was dark in the room even with all lighting on. The refrigerator was subpar, but all else was great. The location was GREAT!
