Room was ok. The complex is a motel, not appartments as advertised. I had a problem guest next door who was constantly arguing and slamming doors and riding a motorcycle around in front of the rooms. Some arguments were with motel staff. Went on all 3 nights I was there. Ruined my stay.

Excellent location out of the main Melbourne area - close walking even the elderly to shops trams beach nightlife whatever you want is so so close - highly recommend it - Room fine only thing windows didn’t have fly screens so few extra friends crashed but passed out by the lamp so nothing bad

I do not usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely unacceptable.
From the moment I entered the room, multiple serious issues were obvious.
The in-room safety deposit box was already locked and unusable.
The bathroom sink would not drain because the stopper was stuck closed, causing dirty water to sit in the basin.
The coffee machine still contained a used capsule from a previous guest, clearly not cleaned.
When I pulled back the sheets, there were multiple long hairs on the bed.
These are not minor inconveniences. They are basic hygiene and maintenance standards that any hotel should meet.
What makes this more frustrating is that the hotel requires a $300 credit card authorisation and strict ID verification upon arrival. If such strict policies are enforced, guests should reasonably expect rooms to be properly cleaned and inspected.
This stay has been extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend this property unless significant improvements are made in cleanliness and quality control.

The room was great. Added bonus of simple breakfast items (cereal and toast). Staff very courteous.
But very noisy with little insulation between rooms and every time someone near you had a shower the water pipes were noisy. This became a problem when the person next to you was going in and out of the door with the door slamming, having a shower until 2.30am. Not much sleep that night.

Check in was fine, but it’s a bit painful having to go to an alternate site (particularly after a long drive)! There was not enough parking on-site. The room was pleasant & clean. Except for the shower. The hand held part didn’t work & something very slippery had been left on the shower floor, nearly broke my neck as a result!!! The snacks were a godsend.

The room was clean and tidy, comfortable and the basic breakfast provisions were a welcome surprise. There was a bit of noise from outside the complex after 10pm but otherwise I had a good stay. The checkin process at another site at Barkly St was inconvenient as it is about 20’ walk away (and 15’ by car in horrendous StKilda evening traffic as I checked in after 6pm on a warm midweek evening). Receptionist was friendly and efficient though. Oh, and the onsite carpark (20 dollars extra) is rather squeezy!
