Ibis Budget St Peters

Hotel is fine for a one night stay if you are literally just using the bed for a short sleep as a couple. As a single woman alone I would not recommend staying here. The walls are very thin so all night you hear people coming and going, doors opening/closing, people talking both inside and outside (adding to the unsafe feeling, you kind of feel like someone can walk in at any time). The bathroom is very awkward like an airplane bathroom, even using the toilet is strange. There’s mould in the room where mould shouldn’t be. Comfortable bed, if there were more or better pillows it would’ve been loads better. If it wasn’t for feeling so scared and the noise I might have slept. No dairy free substitutes but McDonald’s next door. A one night only place for sure.

Property is ok. For what the rates are. No remote in the room, no cover on a dirty duvet just top and bottom sheet. Bathroom light flicked off and on when in the shower, tiny bathroom flooded floor when showering Mould and hair on the ground.

Great stay

Was a little worried when we didn't receive our late check in instructions but spoke to security/AH staff and got in ok, otherwise fine.

29/4/25- Room 117 is riddled with black mould. In Bathroom, bathroom door, there was water damage to the floors in the room with black mould around it. Black mould on room walls, ceiling, the desk. The air con was on to musk the smell. Sink has a blockage so water slow to drain. This hotel needs a good clean and maintenance. Have advised reception. Budget range perfectly describes it. Don’t leave anything valuable in your car. Its positioned between two fast food places so be expecting noise, especially early truck deliveries. I saw whats was on offer for breakfast and for $12 it will be cheaper and better to get breaky from Maccas next door. Note - room prices change daily. Got one room for $81, the next day rooms were $120 but dropped to $95 at night. Do not pay over $95 for a room, not worth it.

This must be the first Ibis that I will never go back! Being close to the airport, you are constantly disturbed by the airplane noise. The room: the walls are very thin where you can hear next door people talking and even snoring at night. All the Room door has sign for no smoking but the corridor reeks of cigarette smoke. The WIFI is free but none existent. It takes a long time to connect with the WIFI but then it will say 'no internet connections! spoke with one of the staff at the reception about the WIFI but was told abruptly to just put my email and it will work. Stayed 3 nights, no internet connections at all. they offer a kettle with sachets of coffee and green tea, NO BLACK TEA supplied, had to get my own. Did not get any rest at night due to the noises and had to drive to Queensland in the morning.

No milk T v not working

Great location for an early morning departure to the airport, reasonably priced, have MacDonald and KFC at the doorstep for a quick bite. The property could do with a good clean, windows are dirty and so were the corridors. The room is small however it is clean, though the bathroom could do with a major renovation. Good spot for an overnight stay but wouldn’t recommend if you need to stay longer.

Staff really nice and helpful, room was small, air conditioner didn't work, got moved to another room the following day. Shower room was just a wet room, no shower curtain so be wary.

This place is a disgrace to the Accor brand. The room we had on the 3rd floor was infested with bedbugs and mould. My wife was bitten numerous times by the bedbugs. In addition, the wall with the window had water damage and the bathroom smelt like a sewer. The fan in the bathroom appeared to be deliberately closed off and was no longer operational. 'Budget' should not mean poor maintenance and poor upkeep of the accommodation. It must make it very difficult for housekeeping to look after rooms in such poor condition. NSW Health should investigate the condition of this establishment in terms of health and safety.

Great location , great staff , great price , worse thing about property is rubbish from Macca's and KFC... I would stay there again...

Nice clean rooms, easy check in and plenty of parking. Perfect for an overnight stay with a KFC and Maccas on either side.

It's what's advertised on the box. No frills, budget hotel.

The place was noisy, something that seemed like a noisy washing machine was running well past midnight and in the early hours there was what sounded like a delivery truck and everything about it was loud.

Staff were extremely helpful. This was much appreciated. I did have some issues with ants but the room was generally clean. Some appliances didn't work but it wasn't a major issue. I was grateful I had a room as I had made an error in the booking process.

All round dump, good for a desperate one night stay, rooms are rotten

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times when I’ve travelled to Sydney. It’s normally no frills cheap and cheerful, but this time around it was simply just cheap and nasty. If you don’t like dragging suitcases up flights of stairways then don’t stay here. I had a room on the top floor and it’s not a pleasant task going up and down several times to sort problems out with reception. After finally getting everything into the room, I noticed how much dirtier the room was compared to previous stays. The shower soap holder and drain were both covered in soap scum. The towel hangers were surrounded by mould and there was visible dirt orotund the doors. The paint on the walls in the main area were blistered and peeling. It’s clear that the rooms aren’t thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis at all. Finally, my tv did not work. I thought it was the remote, so back to reception to get new batteries, but it was the tv on the blink. To their credit they did shift me into another room the next day, but then made up my original room and were obviously going to rent it to another unsuspecting customer without fixing it. For the money, the Stamford Airport hotel just around from the airport kills this place for value. Rooms 3 times the size, luxurious and much, much cleaner for only $40 a night more.
