Rowville International Hotel

Very good motel/ hotel.

Other than being convenient to where I needed to be the hotel itself was lacking. Poorly repaired dings all over the walls, mould all through the bathroom, fixings falling off walls and cleaning staff left the toilet seat half off the toilet and felt this was acceptable. Poor WiFi, no on site restaurant/room service. Only stayed one night but would suggest paying the same price would get you a lot more elsewhere

First the good stuff. Parking was easy and right outside my room- good during the rainy season. The desk clerks were nice and pleasant. The bed was clean and the room itself was clean. I used the fridge, kettle and the hair dryer, and these were fine. The not so good stuff: the carpet was torn, the shower plumbing leaked and sprayed from a connection point down low, the locks on the door were non-functional (door chain with both parts screwed into the door frame instead of one part on the actual door, and a turn lock that did nothing). The worst was my room was apparently double booked so strangers were trying to get in late at night. I told them through the door that it was occupied but they came back with a clerk that proceeded to open the door until I spoke up again. The clerk quickly apologized and left but I ended up moving a chair to block the door just for some mental comfort while I slept. It was expensive for how outdated and rundown the interior was but maybe I'm just not used to Aussie prices yet. The walls are thin enough I could hear neighbors watching tv and chatting. I brought my white noise machine just in case, so I could sleep undisturbed and was glad I did. It looks much nicer in the picture.

The Good: check in and parking was easy. We checked in late and found the SMS instructions to get the key from the keysafe very clear. Bed linen and towels were clean - which was a relief. Soap, shower gel and shampoo/conditioner was all fine. The Ugly: bathroom looked clean and could tell it was renovated. However we could tell it wasn't clean - did have marks on tiles that should have come off with a scrub. There was black muck on the shower screen that would come off with bleach. Carpets were dirty and had stains. Chairs also had stains. The split system had a damp smell when we turned it on for heating - didn't end up using it. There was mould at the foot of the bar fridge and ice built up. The property has visible damage at various places such as door frames and corners of walls and bathroom mirror. The property is a bit rundown. This property really isn't a hotel, it's a motel. I only chose it as it came up in the filters I chose - so perhaps it's classified incorrectly. It has potential but it was apparent that the inside was cheaply renovated / masked. The reception staff were okay; not super friendly but had clear communication. I spoke to them on the phone only and didn't have much more interaction. Overall, we we chose the property as it was close to what we needed, but felt uncomfortable when we got there.

Was very convenient to visit the Mulgrave private Hospital. It was quiet and I felt safe.

Clean, Quiet, comfortable and well located to access two major transport portals. Dated from the 80's, the RIO is looked a bit dated, but the bed provided a good nighrs sleep and the cost compared to other nearby hotels was nearly half.. if yiu just want somewhere convenient to the outer easten suburbs of Melbourne, then consider the Rowville International Hotel.

Aging facilities

The room was ok. The Mattress on the beds was shocking and needs to be thrown out . You could feel the springs and it was uneven affecting the sleep quality. Soft sagging some places and firmer in the middle . They also had notice there that rooms are only cleaned every 3 days so this may affect people staying more than a day. You cannot also get towels etc after 6.30pm

This is not a hotel. Just room rental. Reception limited opening times. Contact phone adverted outside on reception no working, probably not even existing .No breakfast. No restaurant, no nothing

Roomy and clean space. However, hope you could invest a bit to upgrade the towels; faucet (because it fell off when I took shower) as well as the electricity outlet to accommodate different types of the outlets. A little change makes huge impact on how the customers might feel.

Good clean room. Petrol station near by and not very far from city.

Staffs are friendly

Staff were friendly and polite. We received a courtesy call to let us know that the reception closes at 6:30pm. We informed them that we were arriving later in the evening, and the staff willingly made arrangements to accommodate. Room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. It is an older style model. But we were happy with the room according to the price we paid.

Good clean hotel, will recommend for any travelling to Melbourne. bus stop near by if you want to go to city or other places via public transport.

Rooms qere spotless, staff was friendly. Had a pleasant stay at Rowville int hotel.

Value for price with family although 30 mins away from attractions still far away and lonely place. We where driving back to Sydney on road trip for a day checked in late after 7 pm and we where checking out about 10 am next day they room is in upstairs not convenient to get things down and staff came to us and said at 10:07 am what’s the time now you are late other customers waiting for check in , we felt it was not polite since we where already moving thing to car and only 7 mins delayed. Not recommended if you need to go to main areas & Asian staffs not polite should have some basic understanding.

Clean room , friendly staff , would recommend this if you are planning a trip to Melbourne.
