Likes The room was nice and clean. The initial man at reception was incredibly nice and helpful (he wore a suit and glasses, I didn't get his name). The room service and cleaning staff were nice as well. It seemed convenient to a mall within walking distance. Dislikes The one lady I interacted with at reception was unfriendly and kept interrupting me while I asked her questions. I found her as unfriendly while I was checking out my room this morning. Another man at reception waited on me and he was as unfriendly as the lady. I wasn't that impressed with the room service menu. They didn't have some of the foods I ordered. It would have been nice to know there were two clubs in the hotel that allow smoking before I booked the room. I could smell the smoke in my room.

I had another enjoyable stay for the fifth time. I never have any issues when I stay at The Arch. Room service is on time and they are always cleaning. I recently spent 4 days there and every morning I go to the gym, they are on the 4th-floor cleaning at 7am.

The staff I had dealings with were great, polite, friendly and helpful. Rasel was the house keeper of my initial room, level 6 which is a smoker's area and nothing was too much trouble for him. As a non smoker, Rasel advised me to speak to front desk where upon I was moved to level 11. Level 6 can be noisy with music from the night clubs. Level 11 much quieter, rooms are large with comfy beds and good facilities. All the staff were excellent with good facilities. I would stay again if I returned to Bahrain.

Staying at this awful hotel felt like PURGATORY. There was constant loud noise from inside and outside the hotel. This made it impossible to get any sleep. I had requested a quiet room and as soon as I entered the room I could hear the loud rumbling of machinery. My room was overlooking a roof containing more than a dozen air conditioning units creating a constant loud mechanical noise. I asked at reception to move room, but was told this was their quietest room. From 9pm until after 10am everyday there we’re extremely loud noises from a night club in the hotel. It was impossible to listen to anything in my room (even with noise cancelling headphones) or sleep (with expensive silicon ear plugs). The bass and loud clanging noises reverberated throughout the hotel constantly. My room was at the end of the hotel and 6 floors above the nightclub so I can’t imagine how much worse the noise was in the rest of the rooms. Preventing people to sleep through playing loud music is a recognised form of torture and after suffering at this hotel for 6 nights I understand why it is so effective. It totally ruined my trip to Bahrain. It is very noticeable that there is no mention of this nightclub in the Expedia listing, but there is a blatant lie about room soundproofing. There are other minor issues with the hotel such as poor room design and a poor breakfast, but it is the constant noise makes this hotel uninhabitable in my opinion. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The hotel was clean and nice. It’s in a great location and the Spa service was on point. I will be staying there again
