Don’t ask for a king bedroom. They are not apart of the hotel. They are around d the back in a motel section

The upgrade to the room was ok but the cleanliness was awful. The floors were sticky. Had to keep our shoes on. beds were covered in animal hair, the pool was not clean. There were bandaids floating in the pool. Not somewhere we will go again.

Great place to stay for the price.

Overall not a bad hotel, rooms have been remodeled but are still dated. Stayed one night on our way through town. Be aware of outrageous charges against room deposit. Only received $50 back and paid $100. When I called to ask, they told me that we left stains on 3 towels and this was the $50 charge. I am not sure what stains we left that they considered were unable to be washed or bleached out? They are white towels, there may have been a little makeup or something but I was flabbergasted to be charged this much for cheap towels! I have never been charged for towels in my over 30 years of travel and many hotels. They said they would check with housekeeping and get back to me but never did! I hope the extra $50 was worth it, I will never spend another dime in this hotel chain again!

Breakfast was good. The pool and water slide was awesome for the kids. Ants in the bathroom floor. Was told by the front desk this is a common problem in Medicine Hat this time of year at a lot of hotels. Not sure if it is or just this hotel?

Very deceived by the pictures of the property and description. Walked in thinking it was hotel style accommodations only to be sent outside to our room with an outside entrance like a motel. The door had holes where a previous door lock was ripped out. The backboard in the bed had tears and was peeling, there was an ant in the bathroom (didn’t go looking for more). With people walking by the room window all night, it was not easy to sleep. It just didn’t feel safe for me and my daughter.

Clarion Place is probably great but I wouldn’t know. I booked our stay through Expedia and never received a confirmation email or Itinerary so I assumed the booking never went through. I specifically search all my emails, junk and trash with no results. I end up having to stay at a run down motel with my family as it was the only option available by the time I noticed there was an issue. This was during gymnastics provincial La so local hotels were packed. The next morning I received my 1st email asking to review our stay at the Clarion. Expedia refuses to take any responsibility or refund any portion of our charges. When I called to speak to a rep our booking at the Clarion wasn’t even an option on their phone prompts but the motel we did stay at was. So two ‘’glitches’’ on their end but it’s my fault for not logging onto there website to look for my booking rather then relying on emails. What a disappointment. I will never use Expedia again. I spent a total of $300 to spend the night at a run down Motel.

The food was amazing

Decent breakfast. Dirty rooms - stained sheets and hair in the bathroom. Staff were helpful enough

Breakfast was good. Pool was cold and hot tub was tiny.

Breakfast was very good, pool was excellent (staff just needs to sort out the hot tub chemicals as it was green). I can see they are starting to update rooms but they should start with the most important things like the headboard and ensuring bathroom is properly renovated. Shower appeared brand new but the floor on shower was not properly stabilized and the faucet leaked. The room appeared well cleaned but the carpet is so old it was disgusting. It is also clear there is no deep cleaning. (Just look behind furniture). Also the bed skirt or window curtains clearly do NOTget washed. They were both filthy, full of stains and dirt. The sheets are polyester which is awful but the bed overall otherwise was very comfortable. Good pillows. Only had one lumpy one. The outside door allowed a TON of air and light through. I could feel it. Surprised mice done get in. They should invest in better black out curtains as well at-least in the 500 block because the outside lights don’t turn off. Staff were excellent. The only other thing that was disappointing was the last minute booking price gauging. Which should be criminal (although most hotels do this). Overall I won’t book here again unless there are significant changes to the rooms and not cheap renos but overall it was ok.

This place was okay for the night. I wouldn't do an extended stay. Could use some upkeep. Our exterior door to the parking lot had a big opening in it. It didnt seal closed. Bed sheets were clean but the bedspread hasn't been washed in a while. The pool was fun.

Older hotel but it was very clean, pool was fantastic. Restaurant was very good and an added bonus is a discount on food.

Only what is very good is breakfast. Hotel is dirty, room is dirty specially floor .

Very reasonable price, nice pool and water slide. Would be nice to have a chair in the room.

Cheap hotel, very outdated, restaurant was good, no bugs but stale smelling
