Ramada by Wyndham Nanaimo

It was extremely slow, checking in, but other than that the room was nice. The beds were comfortable. There was nice amenities in the shower. Everything was great. The only thing I could recommend would be updating your pillows as they were very lumpy. Like all 8 of them. I would stay here again.

Friendly staff! Great service. Breakfast was simple: cereal, yogurt, fruit, waffel, toast or bagel. Was great for morning coffee and simple breakfast. I booked a balcony room and it was very spacious. Overall satisfied with my stay!

Kelly at the front desk is so lovely! Rooms were tidy and bed was comfy. Small continental breakfast makes this a nice affordable stay in a nice area

Room was great, staff was great too, no issues with any of that . HOWERER , they asked for my credit card at the coounter, I had already paid online. They said they needed a $100 pre-authorization. For any damage etc. Im 69 years old , were not partying in the room . We just want rest. She said its just pre-authorization , and it will be reversed in the morning. Morning came ,,she said when they have the room done and if everything is okay they will cancel the credit card pre-authorization. I said no, check the room now , so I went up to the room and got the housekeeper shawna to go in with me , she said everything was good. I went down to the front desk and told her Shawna said it was good . Then she said she will reverse it right away . We got home later that night . Went online and found out it wasn't a "pre-authorization " The $100. Was indeed taken out and still not reversed. . I feel i was treated like a crimnal , no trust in us to want a damage deposit. Now they have my $100 and have to keep checking for the refund. So they lied to me about the "pre-authorization " and this property owner takes $100 from everyone and holds it , that is criminal ! . Im not happy with my "RAMADA EXPERIENCE " we weren't told about a damage deposit at the time of booking. .

Great affordable clean place to stay

Everything was good and clean. Older building. Generous room size. We thought it was very good value for the price.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stated in my entire life and I’ve stayed in hundreds ranging from $85 a night all the way up to 1300 a night. The room is dirty carpets are stained. The breakfast was rationed out based on how many people were staying in the hotel which from what I was told was eight including me. Housekeeping left the top latch closed on my door so my door was open to the public for eight hours with a couple thousand dollars worth of equipment inside. When I asked the manager what he was gonna do to make this right he offered me a free night in the hotel which obviously I refused. Stay as far away as you can from this hotel there are much better options cheaper in Nanaimo.

It was a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff were friendly but it appeared that only person was working - the front desk person had to do it all. Whe did the best she could. Breakfast - the hot dishes were sub-par.

Good breakfast Clean Friendly They need to provide bigger bath soap and shampoo so we don’t need to ask for it everyday and can hold better in hand.

Door handle on our room was faulty. Sounded like it had been on their to do list for a while. Complained multiple times with no fix. Keep up your hotel.
