Hotel Lago Grey

Expensive for what it is, but incredible to have the location and facility where it is. Room needed vacuuming, food was generally very good. Hot tub or sauna is sorely missing.

What to say? The hotel is unbelievable. Everything is awesome, but of course, the location and views are the top features. Also, a special thanks to the staff who went 100% out of their way to help us with an issue we had with our rental car. They've done much more than I expected and that shows that the hotel is really worried about providing a top notch experience for the guests and not only rely on the location and view. I'd 100% go back. It's worth every cent.

We booked Grey III navigation from Refugio Grey back to Hotel Lago Grey. However, the ferry was cancelled without any notice. We need to purchase an expensive WiFi package in Refugio Grey in order to WhatsApp the hotel for the information. The sudden cancellation of the ferry without any early notice made so much trouble that we needed to rush back to Refugio Paine Grande for another ferry to Pudeto then caught the shuttle of hotel. From Refugio Grey to Paine Grande, it was a 11km hike! Such trouble made us eventually arrived the hotel at 9pm instead of originally ~3-4pm. We lost much time to enjoy in this expensive hotel. The front desk staff originally agreed to give us a 1hr late check out at 1200 on the next day. However, it seemed that staff themselves didn’t have good communication about this so another staff rang the phone of our room to ask us to check out before 1200. Anyway, this check out problem is soon resolved after explanation and we checked out at 1200. Furthermore, the WiFi inside the room was terribly weak. Also, the shower couldn’t offer a hot enough water (but the temperature now is ~15 degree Celsius at night). Even hot water inside campsites of Patagonia W Trek were much better than the one in this hotel. Also, this hotel costs high price per night. It’s unacceptable and unreasonable for so much trouble and inconvenience caused. This is the WORST hotel experience we have ever had. We highly NOT recommend this hotel in term of value.

Chegamos no final da tarde para apenas uma diária. Entramos pela entrada principal do Parque, a qual fica distante do hotel, como fomos parando nos inúmeros belos locais ao longo do caminho, nossa chegada foi retardada. Nossa intenção era apenas pernoitar, pos no outro dia sairíamos cedo para o trekking à base das Torres e na volta já seguiríamos para El Calafate. O hotel é lindo, quartos muito confortáveis e silenciosos. A vista do restaurante para o glaciar é surreal. O restaurante é ótimo, atendimento excelente e comida idem.

It was off peak and hence the hotel was quiet. We I loved the quiet and sense of freedom. The walking trails are still good to walk during winter.

It is a great hotel option in teh park with a beautiful view and great excursions.

Excellent location and staff. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Rooms are comfortable and our room had a great view.

Lago Gray is a beautiful site for your stay at Torres del Paine. The hotel has access to some trails but not all. The room was simple but well appointed, spacious and clean, and had a phenomenal view of the lake. It was a bit warm in the afternoon with no way of cooling it other than leaving the door open or closing the shade. I would also love a kettle in the room. Other than that, the restaurant and coffee bar were excellent, the service was great, and the location incredible. Check if you need a car or transport to other trails because that is not cheap.

Lago Grey is one of a kind. The views of the lake and the mountains from the rooms are astonishing. The main lounge is very nice and the food is good. The rooms are somewhat small though the bathrooms are very good. Overall a pleasant stay, highly recommendable. The staff is amazing - really amazing!

Great breakfast and dinner. Great staff. Stunning views. The driveway and parking lot could be improved, lots of potholes and no defined parking spaces.

Ce petit coin de paradis est tout simplement merveilleux. Le personnel est souriant attentionné bienveillant, le cadre est splendide la chambre enchanteresse et la restauration de très bonne facture. Je recommande vivement et fortement cet établissement.

Overall hotel is overpriced for what you get compared to other hotels in the park. Service is okisch but food/breakfast a bit disaponting

The room is clean and service is good. No Mountain View or lake view of this room which was not my expectation or the room pictures showed in the Expedia when I book the room

This was a truly excellent stay! The room was beautiful and had a fantastic view of the lake, mountains, and glacier! The common areas were comfortable and the view could not be beat. Can’t say enough about how great all the staff was. They were all friendly and welcoming. I appreciated them helping me plan out things to see that suited my interests. The boat ride to the glacier was a once in a lifetime kind of experience. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope to be able to return again.

This hotel is in the national park. The view is unique. You should definitely stay here if you like nature. However, the room can be cold during winter time.

El lugar es justo en el parque nacional lo cual pareciera conveniente sin embargo me limitó a los servicios que ofrece el hotel, que en cuando a restaurante y bar es excelente pero el área de excursiones es deficiente. No quisieron venderme excursiones porque iba sola, no me dieron alternativas ni soluciones, al plantear mi problema no hubo empatía alguna y por el contrario me dijeron que me debía tomar el día para descansar. El hotel es demasiado caro para lo que ofrece. Una gran decepción!
