No.5 Valley Lodge was the absolute highlight of our honeymoon. My wife and I stayed here during our visit to Zhangjiajie, and nothing else came close. You wake up surrounded by mountains and rice fields — literally inside the national park. Breathtaking and unforgettable. This isn’t a luxury hotel — it’s a mountain lodge, and that’s its charm. Rustic, big, built entirely out of wood. The staff are the heart of this place. Shoutout to Frankie for making us feel at home, and to the Tea Master for her warmth, incredible tea ceremonies, and gifts we’ll treasure forever. Luggage help was always there without asking — service here puts many luxury hotels to shame. For our honeymoon, the staff decorated our entire room with balloons and messages — one of the most thoughtful gestures of our trip. Breakfast was fantastic, served right next to our room. The hotel also provides free transport to the Avatar Mountains, which are incredibly close. Things to know: the wooden construction means sound travels between rooms. The lodge is remote — the city, Grand Canyon, and other attractions require a ride, and hotel transport is pricey (we used DiDi). But we came wanting a deep nature experience, and that’s exactly what we got. Not for everyone, but for us it was perfection. The best stay of our honeymoon, no question.

El hotel está ubicado entre la naturaleza, todo lo que ves es hermoso, son cabañas , todo limpio y perfecto , las personas son muy amables, ahí mismo venden tickets para el Parque Nacional Zhianjiajie. Te llevan y te recogen en la entrada del parque. Nosotros solicitamos que fueran por nosotros al aeropuerto y también nos llevaron a la estación de tren. La comida es deliciosa, también tiene un bar , albercas.

Lovely and homely stay at the lodge. We were pleasantly upgraded to a cabin room which we loved. Rain was extremely welcoming and helped us with all our luggage and even brought out a heater to our room as soon as we asked. Great communication, amazing location for the Zhangjaijei mountains, and Rain even dropped us and picked us up. There is a tea master as well who makes home made teas and some cute pets. Truly feels like a lovely family run cosy home. Would definitely recommend!

The lodge is in the middle of mountain, there is no restaurants, no social activities nearby. The lodge offers free breakfast, but you will have to pay double or triple the price for lunch and dinner if you want to eat inside lodge. The room is exactly same as old village type in China. If you are looking for a quiet place, this could suit you well. Otherwise think twice before booking. Lodge staffs are very nice and helpful.

I’m extremely satisfied with my stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The place is super quiet and located very close to the park entrance (only about 5 minutes away). If you’re looking for a peaceful spot away from the noise, this is the perfect place. The meals were delicious, the pool was comfortably heated, and the views were absolutely incredible. A special thank you to Rain, who was extremely helpful and guided us through every step of our stay — from picking us up at the airport, taking us to the park each day, and driving us to the train station — always perfectly on time. The guys on reception were so helpful and friendly and spoke very good English. Free drop off to park entrance, 5 mins away and would pick us up as arranged on WeChat. Lovely and peaceful place to stay, extremely comfortable rooms, bed etc and shower had great pressure…..a real favourite in a hotel for us.

Unreal stay — a hidden gem in Zhangjiajie! We had an amazing two-night stay at No.5 Valley Lodge, and Frankie and the team went above and beyond to look after us. They arranged our airport and train station transfers seamlessly, and the complimentary shuttle to the national park entrance was super convenient. Dinner each night was lovely — simple but tasty — and the lodge itself has an incredible ambience: peaceful, natural, and slightly rustic in the best way. Our room was absolutely sublime, spacious, and beautifully designed. The Wi-Fi was a little slow, but honestly, that only added to the charm — it’s the perfect place to disconnect and unwind. Frankie speaks excellent English, which made communication effortless. He even helped us plan our route through Zhangjiajie National Park and came to the rescue when we got lost! It’s not close to the city, but that’s part of what makes it so special — you’re surrounded by nature and tranquility. Highly recommend staying here before the area gets overrun by Western tourists. I recently just went on a big China trip and visited the beautiful Zhangjiajie region. Staying at No. 5 Valley was an incredible experience. The host Frankie was super helpful and hospitable. The property is in a very scenic, remote area. Around 1 hour from Zhangjiajie Train Station. The food options were vast and very accommodative and the resort. Had several activities going on throughout the day. Arts and crafts, tea ceremonies and much more. I really enjoyed my stay and I'm looking forward to coming back. This is an excellent place to stay and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to stay in Zhangjiajie. Accessibility to the Zhangjiajie park is about 10 mins away and about 1 hour from the Tianmenshan park. The hotel provides transportation for anywhere you need to go in Zhangjiajie. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have an amazing experience at a beautiful stay in Zhangjiajie

No.5 Valley Lodge was the absolute highlight of our honeymoon. My wife and I stayed here during our visit to Zhangjiajie, and nothing else came close. You wake up surrounded by mountains and rice fields — literally inside the national park. Breathtaking and unforgettable. This isn’t a luxury hotel — it’s a mountain lodge, and that’s its charm. Rustic, big, built entirely out of wood. The staff are the heart of this place. Shoutout to Frankie for making us feel at home, and to the Tea Master for her warmth, incredible tea ceremonies, and gifts we’ll treasure forever. Luggage help was always there without asking — service here puts many luxury hotels to shame. For our honeymoon, the staff decorated our entire room with balloons and messages — one of the most thoughtful gestures of our trip. Breakfast was fantastic, served right next to our room. The hotel also provides free transport to the Avatar Mountains, which are incredibly close. Things to know: the wooden construction means sound travels between rooms. The lodge is remote — the city, Grand Canyon, and other attractions require a ride, and hotel transport is pricey (we used DiDi). But we came wanting a deep nature experience, and that’s exactly what we got. Not for everyone, but for us it was perfection. The best stay of our honeymoon, no question.

The lodge is in the middle of mountain, there is no restaurants, no social activities nearby. The lodge offers free breakfast, but you will have to pay double or triple the price for lunch and dinner if you want to eat inside lodge. The room is exactly same as old village type in China. If you are looking for a quiet place, this could suit you well. Otherwise think twice before booking. Lodge staffs are very nice and helpful.

Lovely and homely stay at the lodge. We were pleasantly upgraded to a cabin room which we loved. Rain was extremely welcoming and helped us with all our luggage and even brought out a heater to our room as soon as we asked. Great communication, amazing location for the Zhangjaijei mountains, and Rain even dropped us and picked us up. There is a tea master as well who makes home made teas and some cute pets. Truly feels like a lovely family run cosy home. Would definitely recommend!

I’m extremely satisfied with my stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The place is super quiet and located very close to the park entrance (only about 5 minutes away). If you’re looking for a peaceful spot away from the noise, this is the perfect place. The meals were delicious, the pool was comfortably heated, and the views were absolutely incredible. A special thank you to Rain, who was extremely helpful and guided us through every step of our stay — from picking us up at the airport, taking us to the park each day, and driving us to the train station — always perfectly on time. The guys on reception were so helpful and friendly and spoke very good English. Free drop off to park entrance, 5 mins away and would pick us up as arranged on WeChat. Lovely and peaceful place to stay, extremely comfortable rooms, bed etc and shower had great pressure…..a real favourite in a hotel for us.

Unreal stay — a hidden gem in Zhangjiajie! We had an amazing two-night stay at No.5 Valley Lodge, and Frankie and the team went above and beyond to look after us. They arranged our airport and train station transfers seamlessly, and the complimentary shuttle to the national park entrance was super convenient. Dinner each night was lovely — simple but tasty — and the lodge itself has an incredible ambience: peaceful, natural, and slightly rustic in the best way. Our room was absolutely sublime, spacious, and beautifully designed. The Wi-Fi was a little slow, but honestly, that only added to the charm — it’s the perfect place to disconnect and unwind. Frankie speaks excellent English, which made communication effortless. He even helped us plan our route through Zhangjiajie National Park and came to the rescue when we got lost! Super unique stay in Zhang Jia Jie! 1000/10 recommend if you are visiting. Food was delicious, hospitality was amazing, Frankie was really helpful and kind. I recently just went on a big China trip and visited the beautiful Zhangjiajie region. Staying at No. 5 Valley was an incredible experience. The host Frankie was super helpful and hospitable. The property is in a very scenic, remote area. Around 1 hour from Zhangjiajie Train Station. The food options were vast and very accommodative and the resort. Had several activities going on throughout the day. Arts and crafts, tea ceremonies and much more. I really enjoyed my stay and I'm looking forward to coming back. This is an excellent place to stay and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to stay in Zhangjiajie. Accessibility to the Zhangjiajie park is about 10 mins away and about 1 hour from the Tianmenshan park. The hotel provides transportation for anywhere you need to go in Zhangjiajie. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have an amazing experience at a beautiful stay in Zhangjiajie
