Occidental Punta Cana - All Inclusive

HOTEL CON EXCELENTE SERVICIO Y COMIDA. LAS FACILIDADES ESPECTACULARES

Over all nice resort to stay but need to work on the food was there a few months ago food was great. This time around it lacked flavor.

We had an awesome time! We loved the different activities and how they were organized. It was so fun!

First of all, this hotel did not resolve my AC issue — three out of five nights without it. I wasted time trying to fix it while they kept lying and never offered to change my room. Unacceptable. Gift shop prices were outrageous — $18 for Huggies wipes, $7 Gatorade, $49 sunscreen. I got sick for 48 hours from green soup at the Italian restaurant. Staff at the Meats restaurant were rude at the entrance and servers were inattentive. El Alcázar Buffet food was inconsistent; some items were okay, others not. Desserts were disappointing (looked awesome, but taste very bad), and fountain drinks often had no soda. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were overly sweet and tasted terrible. I overheard many other guests saying the same. The beach was full of pushy vendors — every few minutes someone tried selling something. It was overwhelming and annoying. I don’t recommend booking tours with them either. Phones in the room were mostly unanswered, and when someone did answer (pressing “0”), they were rude. I stayed 5 nights, and on 2 of them the pool was brownish and smelled like pee. The only thing I truly appreciated was the respectful and professional treatment I received from the Spa staff and from Eloine, the Director of Animation. They were all very kind and attentive. I also enjoyed the disco — it was fun and well-run. Do-not-book-again list.

The staff were rude. The rooms were not clean. The shower drained very slowly and there was a sewage smell coming from the toilet after every flush. The shower also had what seemed to be black mold in the corner. After about two nights in that room we woke up to pieces of the shower ceiling on the floor. They did allow us to switch rooms to the third floor. This room was

the area around the resort did not seem like a place i would like to visit

The place is clean the food is great and a very beautiful beach 10/10 plus they have all the actiivities near to have fun

The property was beautiful, they had great day and night activities, the spa was amazing. I received a wonderful full body massage, masseuse was awesome. Buffet food was decent, thea la carte restaurants were pretty good, especiall the Seafood and Mexican restaurant. Tbey had a taco bar and pizza area open from 6 pm to 6 am, it was great. The 4 stars is because theTV did nit work ( wasnt huge deal since we were outdoors most of the time) the last night housekeeping did clean our room, took all towels but did not replace with fresh towels. I called guest services, housekeeping no answer, called front desk was told someone would be on the way with towels, no one came, called again, no one came so my guest and I had to take a shower and basically air dry, we never received the towels.

Los empleados todos no eran amables, uno de la barra del lobby al medio día de hoy me trató pésimo otra empleada del bufet del área de los socios m voto del lugar por qué no era socia ella no fue amable, filtraciones en el cuarto se fue la luz, no le recomiendo a nadie este hotel, no había transporte para los huésped regular

Clean, great food and good service great people

Traveled with family and extended family group of 16 people from ages 14+. Everyone had a great time. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were well stocked with water and drinks. The pillows would have been better if they were standard pillows vs body pillows. and extra towels for bathroom floor would have been nice since there is no full shower door. A/C worked great rooms were nice! great entertainment and fun for our family

We stayed in the Royal level and would definitely recommend upgrading to this it was excellent in every way

Occidental Punta Cana was a very nice all inclusive resort. We enjoyed the buffets with a variety of dishes. The restaurants were not great but if you didn’t like the restaurant you could always go to the buffets afterwards. The pools were great one of the pools was more of a party atmosphere and the other was more relaxed with less crowds. The beach was within walking distance with plenty of beach chairs. At the moment there is a large problem with seaweed accumulating on the beach but the resort was doing everything they could to clear as much as possible. The room was well maintained and stocked with towels every day. We always left a nice tip for the maids hard work in both our rooms. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much! If I had one critique it would be that I wish they served more authentic Dominican food dishes at the resort and served more traditional fruit varieties that you’d find in the Dominican as well as more tropical fruit drinks.
