Argo Hotel - Kings Cross

Walking distance from Kings X station. Room on third floor. Can imagine it would be a real struggle if you were with suitcases. Thankfully we only had a backpack, but it is still a bit of a climb (no lifts). Nice large bathroom, bed set against wall, so not good for access/getting up without disturbing partner if wallside.

Small room and but cheap.

No Air-conditioning, so I left early after 15 minutes

Very friendly and easy check-in process. A small room but had everything needed for a one night stay. Great location close to local amenities and transport.

Clean and cozy in a great area

Les chambres sont minuscules mais adéquates. Aucune place pour du rangement fermé à part la valise. J'ai laissé mon imperméable et mon foulard sur ma valise. Comment expliquer que le foulard ait disparu de ma chambre ? Le proprio ne m'a pas cru, c'était insultant. J'ai donc annulé le deuxième séjour qui était prévu quelques jours plus tard. Si ça vous intéresse toujours, mettez tout sous clés dans votre valise !

Rummet helt ok bra och sängen skön. I övrigt lite nedgånget hotell, inte så fräscht. Toaletten på nedre plan bedrövlig och låg massa sovsäckar eller liknande slängda i ett utrymme vid trappen. Receptionisten var trevlig och hjälpsam.

Clean room, very quiet street. Small rooms but sufficient. Good value for money. 2 minute walk to King’s Cross with access to all locations from there. Professional staff. Felt safe

Very convenient to Kings Cross/St Pancras. Glad to have own bathroom.

The room was very small but cosy, it had everything needed to sleep and have a shower. Take into account there is no elevator. Walls are thin so it’s easy to hear the neighbours’ noise. The hotel is very conveniently located near the train station, in a nice street in front of a park. The staff is kind and friendly.

All was good, everything looked clean, tidy and cozy. Although, Im convinced I was woken up at 2:30am in the morning to a mouse in the room as I was hearing the bin bag being rustled, but i didn't see anything. Chalked it off to gravity initially pulling something in the bin, but checked around in the morning and did find mouse dropping on the floor. I was on the bottom floor so Im not sure if they got in easily. Didn’t mention anything on checkout as I thought I was overthinking it, but I regret it now after thinking it over.

Room was clean and comfortable. Great location but also quiet.

Overall, for the price and proximity to public transport, can’t beat it. There were some beard hairs still in the sink when I checked in, but the rest was very clean. The walls are THIN, so probably not the place for any light sleepers.

Room was like the photos. Nice decor but needed some maintenance- eg shelf hanging off the wall. Missing hook on back of bathroom door etc. but clean and close to King’s Cross station

The property has been fairly recently developed so the furnishings are modern and everything is new, neat and clean. My room was in the basement, which I didn't love, as the view out of the window was of a yard and staircase that really needed painting, but at least there was a window, which basement rooms don't always have. Considering you are so close to Kings Cross, the area is very quiet and as a solo female traveller, I felt quite safe. London hotel rooms are ridiculously priced at the moment and this was at the more reasonable end of the scale. The room itself was tiny but that didn't matter as it had everything I needed (ensuite, kettle, tea/coffee, biscuits!, toiletries), somewhere to hang clothes, somewhere to sit. Breakfast was available for £7.99 but I didn't have it so can't comment on that. I stayed two nights and the towels were changed for the second day, which I didn't feel was necessary, so the hotel could save themselves some time and money there, as well as helping the environment. I recommend the hotel and would stay again.

Room with double bed was the size of a cleaning closet, the bed took all space, so no desk or chair for working etc. Bathroom was renovated maybe a couple of years ago but holes / dents on drywall from door handles per the space available. There were insect traps in corridors which is not a nice sign to see as they’re there for obvious reasons, plus being they are trying to manage the situation. Not taking any of my luggage in before bug spraying the hell out of them.
