Beach Hotel Torbay

Comfy beds and pleasant atmosphere, good location and price

Stayed overnight for Easter. As before Torbay did not disappoint. Very friendly staff and lovely cooked breakfast.

A good place to stay. Hotel nicely decorated for christmas and convenient for pier, beach and high street. The room and shower room was clean and beds comfortable. Staff was helpful and cooked breakfast was tasty.breakfast

Room was very clean and the hotel was in a great location, right on the sea front. Thought it was very good value for money, based on its location

Bathroom in apartment had no extraction fans so you can smell the toilet in the bedroom. The shower cubicle was so small my girlfriend got stuck in it and couldnt get out, theres no sockets we had to go to a shop to buy a 4 gang plug so thats extra money. We paid extra for a balcony and when we arrived they said it was a no smoking area. Surley thats the only reason you would want a balcony mid November. Which was never stated on their website, there is a small smoking area with two seats and might aswell have no roof because the roof is made of wood and the water soaks straight through. There was a suspicious looking guy outside the main door at 11pm and he said he was staying at the hotel but he didn't know what room he was in so i let him use my phone to ring the owner to verify that he was staying there i spoke to one of the owners to explain that i didnt wanna let him in on my key fob as i didnt know and all i got was a load of grief and was told its all sorted doesn't need to speak to me and put phone down. Maybe i should have just left the front door open if i knew you would react like that. Second time staying at this place & it’s definitely gone down hill will not be coming back here again wish i could give zero stars. Hoping for a reply…

We have just returned from a fabulous long weekend at the Beach Hotel. I cannot recommend this small hotel more highly. The whole hotel was spotless, the rooms were warm, comfortable and welcoming as were the hosts. Breakfast was ample and fresh and served in a large breakfast area. We booked into a double room with a balcony and had a great view of the pier and the Paignton sea front. Parking was ample just at the side of the hotel. There was a customer comment book in the hotel but I wanted to share my comments for all to see. Thanks both for a great stay.

Room was very nice for 1 person, the view from my bed was excellent of sea and the pier, shame I couldn't use the balcony and weather not good. Staff, only saw 1 was very friendly and professional. I didn't have breakfast, so can't rate it. The bed was so comfy, and didn't squeak at all, very happy. Also no doors slamming all night, like they do at premier inn/Travelodge.

Excellent few of the bay beautifully decorated staf all so friendly airea is perfect Breakfast was lovely and fresh Well worth a trip highly recommended

Check in was easy, very welcoming and was a lovely clean hotel. Great location wiuld definitely stay again.

Hotel was spotless and very well placed for walking to the nearest restaurants and entertainment. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Great value accommodation.

It's very good location with the sea view and very friendly service. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious . We had have memorable time there and our dogs were very happy with holidays.

Stayed 2 nights in twin room. The room was small ,however it had everything we needed. There was tea/ coffe/ hot chocolate available in the room that was replenished daily. The room was warm as we were top floor, but there was a fan provided which was very welcome. The bathroom was very small, and you may find a struggle if on larger size, however like rest of property was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and really good.

Good location for what we wanted, parking outside was handy. Room too warm but it was a particularly warm weekend. There was a fan but we did have to improvise a stand to make it blow where was needed. Breakfast was filling and freshly cooked, veggie breakfast available and continental style as well. Staff were friendly and welcoming, bathroom a bit on the snug size if you were friends staying together rather than a couple, but beds were comfortable.

A wonderful hotel across the road from the beach. Check in was very easy, the gentleman was happy and informative. The room had everything we needed including a fan, clean, well kept and beautifully simple. Very quiet at night, with a comfortable bed, breakfast was brilliant with multiple choices, cooked quickly and the chef was great. The garden was great especially in the evenings and the bar was reasonably priced. All the staff we met were happy to chat or recommend a place to go. Check out was simple with space to keep our luggage for the rest of our day. Planning to go back with family already
