Wonderful, relaxing place to stay. Great restaurant, staff and location. Evening walks through the quiet roads surrounded by forests and fields were a great way to finish the day. Room was clean and everything worked well. Wifi was excellent, which was a good thing as there is very weak cell phone reception (at least on my plan).
The only challenge relates to the location. I was here for the Farnborough Air Show. I didn't have a car. Getting rides or taxis from the property can be a challenge. The staff were helpful in arranging taxis, but plan in advance for the extra time. The room isn't really conducive for working out of, which I had to spend a day doing. I cleared off the desk of the coffee machine and trays, and it was fine.
The property is meant to be a getaway location. I loved staying there. I would definitely go there while on holiday. I was more relaxed than my other colleagues who stayed in more traditional business-friendly hotels. Overall I would definitely recommend it.

The staff were very accommodating, letting us have an earlier check in as we had a wedding at 3pm. The breakfast the next day was one of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely return!

We waited quite a while to check in, staff were busy, understaffed, they lady was very helpful and friendly and apologised. Room was nicely decorated and we had a fan in the room in this hot weather which was nice, coffee machine and Sloe gin were great. Large extractor fan outside room which was very noisy, on until 11pm and then again on at 5.30am so a very interrupted night, hardly any sleep!! Bathroom plumbing noisy. Could do with a full length mirror in room too. In the morning breakfast was good, good choice although missed the pancakes they used to do. However Jess who served us in the morning was very unfriendly and unhelpful, she slammed things on the table to us and other people around and did not talk, when we checked out it was Jess again, she only spoke to say how much we owed and didn't ask us how our stay was or anything else and didn't thank us or say bye, our opinion she shouldn't be in the hospitality business. We stayed here 15 years ago in the family room and had a lovely stay, this time however was not good so don't think we will be back unfortunately!

Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and I ordered simple things which were not on the menu, like scrambled eggs. Our "Indulgence" room was small, adequately furnished but had low lighting and no large mirror, which would have helped my wife check her appearance before going to a wedding. Staff were nearly all very helpful, cheerful but extremely casual which meant a couple of things were overlooked. We stayed for three nights but coffee pods and drinking water were not replenished, and a chap behind the bar tried to convince me that a dreadful pint of beer was supposed to look like diluted custard - this was refused and the beer was, eventually, taken off. The following day that same beer was on song - crystal clear although I did incur a mysterious "service charge" for drinks I collected from the bar. Food in the restaurant was, on the only evening we ate there, very slow to arrive and not highly recommended - elaborate descriptions but pretty plain food, in reality.

The staff were faultless, very helpful & polite. Particularly the one Lady on reception and breakfast duties. She was incredibly efficient, she really needed help but worked her socks off to keep all happy.
The breakfast was excellent and choice for vegans.

Woken up at 6 am by work men fixing the path to the front entrance very annoying and also the alarm then went off on the radio

Great rooms with fantastic amenities and comfortable beds , warm , friendly and helpful staff that make you feel very welcome. Good selection of drinks at bar . Restaurant menu has a great selection and the food was delicious. Breakfast was very relaxed again with a great selection. Thoroughly recommended. Always a fabulous stay .

What a gem of a find!! Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Comfortable bed in a stunning room, complimentary products from hand wash to gin were of excellent quality. Breakfast was full English for us was superb. The Bel and Dragon is definitely top of our list for places to stay.
