Really enjoyed our stay. The location is very convenient, room was great and as for breakfast - well you need to try it. Nothing was too much trouble for Pascal and Sarah. We thought it was very good value for money. Thankyou to both of them for a memorable stay.

Wonderful place,everything was perfect.Highly recommend this place.The ownet Pascal and his family were so friendly and helpful and gave us a wonderful welcome.Breakfast was delicous.Room and ensuite were perfect,and whole place had such a lovely ambience .We will definately be back.

We were met on arrival by host Pascal who was very charming, engaging and made us so welcome straight away. We were treated to fizz and freshly made canapés in our room which was warm, comfortable & very clean.
Breakfast was the best we have ever had. Quality of products outstanding , especially the homemade sourdough bread.
We met other lovely guest's who were there for a sourdough making course which Pascal offers too.
A joy to spend time in lovely North Yorkshire… Everywhere we went everyone was so friendly. We were there to visit Mathewsons Car Auctions in Pickering and Thornton le Dale as well as visiting Whitby.
We were ideally placed to visit all of the above and many other villages.
Recommend Crawford House 100%.

We had a 4 day stay last week.
Bedroom 2 was very spacious with en suite.
Breakfast delicious his scrambled egg was so tasty.
Pascal was an excellent host and very informative on places to visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Parking a little tight but as there was only us and another guest it was fine.

Pascal was excellent. We arrived slightly early but he welcomed us with canapes, glass of fizz and useful local information. Room had everything you need and anything missing they could provide. Pascal was excellent cook and would adjust to your needs. Magnificent sour dough bread. Pickering beautiful town and accommodation just 5 minute walk from town centre. Looking forward to getting the chance to stay again. Thank you Pascal, Sarah and family for making us feel so welcome.😄

Breakfast was great and Pascal is very friendly . Lovely house but unfortunately we felt it could have been presented so much better, just sweeping front step adding some plants to the empty pots would have made it more inviting but overall we felt it needed a good clean.

The already Excellent reviews are well deserved! Ideal for our stay in Pickering being close to the town centre and pubs/restaurants. The parking felt secure and convenient. Our room was well presented with breakfast having quality ingredients and cooked professionally.

We loved our stay at Cawthorne House. Pascal was a wonderfully warm host. The room was spacious and comfortable with a huge bed. The breakfasts were delicious and included Pascal’s homemade sourdough bread. We’d highly recommend Cawthorne House.

Our stay at Cawthorne was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were also excellent and it was lovely to be fussed over by Pascal who went out of his way to make sure that everything was to our taste. Beautiful house and a very friendly host who is clearly a great cook. Superb breakfast and lovely touches like a glass of fizz and canapés on arrival. Homemade sourdough bread is amazing. Will definitely use it again if back in the area.

Obviously anywhere that makes their own sour dough bread, is the place to stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Pascale. Lovely welcome, great room, quiet and plenty of space. Good shower. Breakfast - apart from the Kelloggs offering- yuk…_is freshly made and a good selection. The location of Cawthorne House is brilliant, easy to walk into the centre. Nice walk to Thornton-le-Dale. Also has a car park round the back, so handy.
