We booked this for a special stay just after our wedding for a spa break and whilst the staff at the hotel were so lovely and really looked after us, we were really disappointed by the spa.

Room was clean and cosy and all staff very helpful. Property well maintained and didn’t feel busy so a very relaxing stay

Wonderful stay as rooms are so comfortable and quiet with great bedding / pillows and coffee / tea facilities. So good to be able to open the windows at night too.

Not the best service. Food not the best in the dining room. Expected more from a hotel charging £650+ a night.

Chewton Glen is a splurge treat. The hotel and service are 5*. If money was no object we’d stay here every week. The spa and treatments are fantastic and the food standards excellent. We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this hotel, which offered a beautiful spa, very clean (and large) rooms, and incredible amenities such as tennis courts, golf courses, spa, club house and croquet. Staff were friendly and very attentive, and the complimentary breakfast and other meals at the hotel were superb. We also enjoyed the spa and some treatments

Unreal spa and room, staff were great

Overall very nice but starting to look a bit tired in places. A few tiles missing from the pool area, chipped paintwork, bathrooms a bit dated. Not really what you expect from a 5* hotel.

Excellent in all areas as usual. Love the new bar, lounge and restaurant! Great staff and food! Always a pleasure to visit!

Lovely property with a nice spa and two good restaurants on site.

We have been to a fair number of Luxury hotels across England and have to say this is the best we have been to. The best parts about the Hotel are the location, the overall decoration and style of the property, quality of the food and drinks and the greatest of all is the customer facing staff. The reception team, front of house for the restaurant and bar staff were absolutely superb and truly went out of their way in many occasions to be proactive, warm, professional and deeply considerate especially the reception and bar staff. They are one of the best parts of the hotel and are the part we would miss the most. They always went over and beyond to try and make us feel valued and special. We will definitely come again. While the overall experience was nothing short of superb, there were some things which were good but could have been better.One was the room service. Or room was comfortable and generally clean but there were minor details that felt more like there was a general to-do list when cleaning, meaning some areas like behind the bathroom door or a dirty glass still being left out after room service. Just very minor things. Last of all, the breakfast was brilliant but always felt there were far more guests than there was staff to serve adequately, meaning a bit of waiting to be sat down and to be served. Good overall and just an area to make it even better. Amazing venue overall and true luxury.
