Great value stay and good breakfast included. Very helpful staff enabled a slightly early check in which was much appreciated after a long drive and also chilled a bottle of champagne for me as no fridges in the rooms which are basic but clean and functional

Lovely location and room. However the cooked breakfast was not the best. I was waiting for bacon, which the staff knew I was waiting for bacon until I enquired again to be told that the bacon was the mashed up stuff on the top with a load of other potato, tomato and other stuff - not sure what as to be honest it didn't look good. It actually put me off the breakfast. Was so disappointed. I'm not into cake or breads so didn't try them but was so looking forward to the cooked breakfast.

Room was quite hot and the double bed was quite small. It is more suited as a single room than a true double in my opinion. Lovely bathroom and a nice property as a whole with good facilities, although I found the WiFi very slow throughout.
Breakfast could be improved as the hot food was not refreshed and was a little cold and uninspiring. Need to work on the simple things, such as replacing sauces/refilling milk when empty and making sure plates are available for customers. We arrived for breakfast at 9am which is half hour before it finishes so I would expect slight better service levels for customers who want a later breakfast.
On the more positive side of things, Marcus on reception gave us a lovely welcome and explained everything in detail.

I would never stay at this hotel again.
I made my booking about 12 hours before arrival. The hotel had a power outage the next morning, but they already had my confirmed reservation and my contact details. They never informed me at any time during the day.
When I arrived at around 8:30 pm, they simply told me they could not accommodate me. At that time of night, in a remote location, I had no choice but to pay much more for a much worse hotel.
The hotel showed no concern for its guests. When I asked for a refund, they told me I had to email them myself. This was completely unacceptable.
In the end, I received an email saying they would refund me without any cancellation charge. That is not compensation – it is simply returning money for a room they could not provide.
Very poor customer service. I cannot recommend this hotel.

We had a brilliant stay here. The rooms are compact but brilliantly functional—small, but with absolutely everything you need. Every single aspect of our visit was awesome, from the immaculate, clean rooms to the fantastic, friendly staff. The breakfast and bar facilities were also excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

What a lovely surprise! The CIM building in cookham has delightful old world charm. The room was small but functional although a bedside lamp would’ve been a nice addition. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Altogether a lovely stay and would recommend for lone women.

Breakfast was good, staff friendly and helpful. Room very clean. The grounds are lovely with flowers, fountains trees and lots of places to sit outside. Free coffee and tea available all day. Thames river walks nearby. I’d definitely stay again

A handy location in the Thames Valley close to the riverside with railway station a short walk away and right next to bus stops. Rooms designed for single people attending conferences, seminars etc so not large but they have a double bed and all l needed for a short stay. Breakfast served in bright atrium area. Good poached eggs cooked to order. Places to eat in the village but mainly gastro pubs. Happy to stay again.
