City Gate Serviced Apartments

Je ne comprends pas que cet appartement soit évalué à 4 étoiles et que Hôtel.com le recommande. À notre arrivée, la personne responsable n'était pas présente pour nous accueillir et ne répondait pas au téléphone ni au texto. Il faut payer comptant seulement. Une fois l'argent encaissé, plus possible de joindre une personne responsable. Aucun retour d'appel ou texto. L'endroit est très bruyant les murs sont en papier et il y a eu des party le vendredi et le samedi soir de 11h00 pm à 2h30 AM. Les ordures ont été ramassés seulement 2 fois en 10 jours, ce qui a attiré des rongeurs dans l'appartement. Nous avons été 2 jours sans papier de toilette et pour 5 personnes, nous avions une grande serviette et 2 serviettes à main... Les palmes des ventilateurs étaient gris tellement il y avait de la poussière. Je ne recommande pas cet endroit. C'est un attrape touriste.

No bedbugs, no cockroaches, friendly people working there, excellent kitchenette - but broken window blinds, one sheet per bed, the worst reno I have seen in years and beside a hospital, with medi-vac helicopters several times a day (and night), and ambulances 24/7. It has its positives (price...), but is a no illusions place to sleep.

I was a bit worried for the bad comments about the management of this place but I honestly have to say that our stay was very nice. The manager, Robert, was very friendly and helpful. The location is ok (for the price) and the conditions very good.

O local ao redor não é muito bonito, mas é seguro, perto do metrô, de um grande mercado e próximo do centro. Não tem elevador nem recepção, mas fomos muito bem recebidos pelo proprietário na porta do local comunicando com ele via Whatsapp.

the new manager is nice; but the property is noisy

Vicino alla stazione di Whitechapel del metrò e alla fermata omonima del bus 25 Spazioso per 4 persone, famiglia con 2 bambini considerando che siamo a Londra Non ha l'ascensore e la vicinanza dell'ospedale si fa sentire di notte, visto che le finestre sono vecchie ma l'appartamento è ben fornito sia per la parte cucina che bagno. Non avuto risposte alle mail ma il personale si è dimostrato sempre disponibile al telefono anche per un check in fuori orario Ringrazio la struttura per averci consentito di lasciare i bagagli l'ultimo giorno.

Room was not suitable for six people, looked nothing like the photos, not enough real beds for six people, three chairs that pulled out into very hard beds, only two chairs at the dining table, one of the chairs was barely holding together. Would be comfortable for three people but not six. Property did not reply to any of the questions I posted.

Ok so to start... My room wasn't the w one as shown in the picture. I had no curtains so the sun was streaming in early. I complained but nothing was done. Next a mouse kept me awake most of the 2nd night culminating in it climbing over my pillow at 2am! Needless to sat I didn't get any sleep. Complained but not much was done. They said they'd sent out an exterminator but there were no traps set. The price was bizarre. I paid one price to hotels.com but the receipt the apartment gave me was much less! So I don't know what's going on. The location was handy

I feel the minimum you should be able to accomplish if you're renting out rooms for people to stay in is to have a working toilet seat. After complaining it still couldn't be fixed or replaced. They need to just buy a new toilet so that they can get a seat that fits it. Every time I sat down the toilet seat slipped off to the side, really aggravating . Paperthin walls, tile floors that make noise no matter if you're barefoot or in stilettos. The place really needs an overhaul. It served it's purpose for six days but I would never do it again.

Det var en fornøjelse at bo ved City Gates apartments. Værelset var rent og pænt. Værten var helt fantastisk og rengøringsdamerne var så søde og grundige. Servicen var helt i top og der manglede ikke noget. Hotellet er 5 minuter fra metroen og det tager ingen tid at komme ind til centrum. Generelt set, en skøn oplevelse for vores lille familie på 5. Mange tak for et dejligt ophold, City Gates apartments.

I went with a group of friends and it was an ideal setting for a group get together. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities needed for our stay. I would definitely book to stay here again.

One must understand that this is not a hotel/motel. This is an apartment with housekeeping only once a week. Thus, Small things like a garbage bin in the bathroom maybe missing and there will be the odd cracked or old piece of wood, etc. However, for the price we would have loved to stay here for a whole week and any future stay in Paris we will stay here. There are 2 bedrooms and an upstairs walk in kitchen/dining room living area. There is a full bathroom and another’s half bathroom and an ensuite washer. The kitchen has all the utensils which really helped us with supper and breakfast. True, it’s a good 35-40 minutes drive from the Champ Ellysis or Eiffel Tower, but we saved hundreds for staying here rather than the hotels downtown ans saved even more buying groceries down the street rather than eating out. Parking is also in an underneath parking lot that is very spacious and halfback empty.

Easy check in and made very welcome... apartment was very clean and comfortable .. would definitely stay here again... so close to the centre of town and excellent for the price.

Very good experience. Clean and comfortable apartment close to public transport. One supermarket at 100 metres. The staff is the most attend that I never see. Thanks a lot for a very good experience!

Das Apartment (Nr. 10) ist absolut hellhörig, man konnte morgens um 3 Uhr die Gespräche aus dem Nachbar-Apartment (Nr. 11) verfolgen. Der Schrank im Schlafzimmer war so wackelig, dass wir uns nicht getraut haben, ihn zu benutzen. Am Esstisch waren alle Beine locker, bei einem Stuhl war eine Querstrebe gebrochen, ein anderer Stuhl war mit Winkeln notdürftig repariert und wackelte ebenfalls. Das Treppenhaus ist schmal und sehr steil, sehr ungünstig für den Transport des Gepäcks. Die Küche schien relativ neu, allerdings gab es lockere Bretter, schiefe schleifende Schubladen, Schutzfolien zum Teil nicht einmal entfernt. Das Apartment ist unserer Meinung nach viel zu klein für die angegebenen max. 5 Personen, die Fotos täuschen über die Größe ganz gewaltig. Die zum Doppelbett versprochenen drei großen Schlafsofas waren in Wirklichkeit ein Schlafsofa, ein ausklappbarer Sessel und ein Klappbett. Leider hat der Wohnraum kein Fenster zum Öffnen, Lüftung nur durch das Schlafzimmerfenster bei geöffneter Schlafzimmertür möglich. Dieses Apartment könnet wir definitiv nicht empfehlen!!

Nice hotel - but simple as expected before, booking everything fine. Rooms are very small but functional - bed comfort was very good. Additional breakfast was offered for a fair price which a applied for.

Expedia promised 1 double, 4 singles and a sofa bed. We got one double, 1 single, 2 sofa beds and the manager arrived with an additional small fold-up bed, which he could not unfold as it would have to be put in front of the front door. As a place for 3 or 4 people, it would be just about acceptable, But they rated this as "sleeps 6/7 people". Who ever did that needs to get a new job, because they definitely cannot rate accommodation. Photos make it look big, it is definitely not. WiFi was terrible. My daughter kept moving all over the apartment to try and get a signal, which she would regularly loos, and have to try and re-connect. We were on the top floor, maybe that had something to do with it.

Overall a good experience, The flat was spacious and in good condition.

Diese Apartmentanlage liegt direkt an der Busstation Whitechapel Road. An dieser Station hält z. B. auch der Stansted Express Bus. Ca. 15Min entfernt Brick Lane mit Spitalsfield Market. Sonntags dort Vintage Flohmärkte. Apartments sind unterschiedlich gross. Kein Fahrstuhl, bis in die oberste Etage 62 enge Stufen. Mit Gepäck nicht gerade optimal. Freundlicher Besitzer, der bei kleineren Reklamationen ( z. B. defekte Kaffeemaschine ) sofort weiterhilft
