Niceclean hotel with all you would need.

Checking in was straightforward and welcoming, receptionists were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, fresh and airy. Great facilities and the food was excellent.

The best breakfast we’ve ever had in a hotel. The facilities were excellent. The communal areas had lovely artwork, sculptures and decoration. The restaurant was excellent too. We loved the local and how easy it was to walk into Chester - so we didn’t need to get in the car quite so often, which made the holiday more relaxing. The rooftop car parking was easily accessible from the hotel too. The room was comfortably big enough for 4 people and we liked the large 55inch TV. Our only note - in our room - 307 - some of the wallpaper was peeling and the paint was a bit tired.

Tired room

Exceptional staff. Every person i spoke to was helpful and very friendly. Building was a bit tired so some areas of cracked tile and mold staining in the pool area. Room smelt of wet dog and there were clothes moths.

Only problem we had was checking in 3 times as room not ready at 3 or 4 pm so ended up going for food and finely checked in at 6pm . However they did give us a voucher for a free drink at the bar. Apparently they had a shortage of staff over the Easter weekend…

Booked a double room for 2 nights with pull out bed for my son - his bed wasn’t made up when we arrived - check in staff were rude and disinterested. Walls very thin, reception areas and restaurant nice, first floor, our room and pool area and changing rooms shabby and in desperate need of a deep clean, lick of paint / update. Service slow and ineffectual on several occasions. Several time staff just weren’t there. Surprise £34 charge to park the car in the hotel’s own carpark for two nights (wasn’t outlined on the booking site or confirmation) All in all an overpriced, 2.5 star-ish experience. Bizarre for a crowne plaza / IHG hotel where I’ve usually had decent experiences.

Breakfast wasn’t very hot: eggs/beans/ mushrooms/ sausages: black pudding was dry. Toast maker only good one side.

Everything was fine, except there was no heating in the room on a cold night. Dinner was great and so was breakfast. Staff very friendly and professional.

Lovely hotel-needs abit of an update in the rooms.On arrival was greeted by a lovely lady on reception.Used leisure favilities again could do with an update.The older man on the leisure reception was rude.

Clean room, great location, good breakfast, good bar. Would have given 5 stars but the Club Lounge is quite sparse compared to other hotels we've stayed at and is more like a quiet room with a coffee machine and limited soft drinks. The complimentary canapes served as part of the Club room package were pretty much the same for each of the 3 nights. Also, very limited alcohol options available at the bar during the complimentary service time.

Once you ignore the hotel entrance from the street which is underneath an ugly car park the foyer is attractive and smells wonderful. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was big and clean. Good location for exploring Chester.

Fast check in on arrival. Friendly staff. We stayed in a Queen room bed and breakfast. On entering The room was cosy and tidy. Black hair on top of the duvet. Linen did look clean and fresh though. Bathroom tidy some black on grout by the shower. Apart from that was a decent room. Breakfast plenty of choice with helpful staff. Would give it a 8 out of 10. Great location for all local amenities.

Great location but the hotel and rooms are tired parking is a nightmare as people using the leisure club take up all the guest parking so had to park next door. Rooms are large but tired.

Lovely hotel in a great location. If it had a lick of paint and a new carpet here and there it would be even better. The staff were very willing to please and a small issue we had with our bathroom lock was fixed within 30 minutes of check in. Nice spa facilities - although more than 5 people in the pool would be crowded! Would return.

Staff very helpful on reception when checking in and throughout short stay.

Room service awful. Food stone cold sent back . Very noisy , when the room doors closed the slammed and shook the room. Bad

Fantastic welcome. Hotel has a great feel and looks really modern in the reception and bar area. Room very spacious with huge bed. Would return.
