I stayed for a night with my partner recently and we were very happy with how kind and helpful the staff were, the cleanliness and comfort of the room, and the dinner we had at the adjoining pub! We would definitely stay here again 😊

I had a lovely stay at Englands Gate Inn coachhouse. the staff were really helpful and were accomodating of my visual impairment. Breakfast was good. the meals were lovely. i'll be back again. the room was also very comfortable and spacious.

Price for one night excellent.
Negative Wifi was not working
The phone in the room had lots of dust on it.Breakfast had no cows milk or butter in the fridge as this was self service, l ended up not having much breakfast as the two thing you require for breakfast was not available bit dissapointing

The accommodation was clean and spacious. The decor is quite dark, but probably because of the dark beams. The welcome in the pub wasn’t great, we weren’t acknowledged whilst standing with our bags in the pub. I understand the stafff are busy, but a simple’hello, we’ll be with you in a minute’ would be nice. We didn’t see any members of staff as the breakfast is a completely self service buffet. On the whole we would have felt more welcome if somebody had appeared at some point eg maybe when you return the key, rather than in a basket in the kitchen area.

Excellent hotel and pub. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was also excellent and wonderful value for money. The rooms were a good size, wonderfully clean and had everything you would need, including an iron and ironing board. So good that we are booking a return visit!

Beautiful spotless, cozy place. Didn't want to get out of bed every morning. Slept better than have in weeks.

But when stayed in No 1 (McNeil) toilet you can get WiFi but you out of toilet you can’t have it! And when outside doorway about 8pm and early morning can’t see get a light on see where I am going!
