Falcon Manor Hotel

Entrance Amazing, Superior room was disappointing. There was a large bed but the view was over a small courtyard and bins and the side of another building. No Hangers on one side of wardrobe .Shower room was a nice size but no shelf by sink to put toothbrush and toiletries and NO shaver socket .The food was a reasonable price ,expect good home made pub food not gourmet.

Beautiful old building and neat gardens, staff helpful and attentive even though few of them. Excellent food, veggie available on each menu. Comfortable rooms, nice toiletries, big bath, plenty hot drink makings. Lovely and peaceful.

Great property with spacious rooms of quite some character, lovely, helpful staff. Good restaurant and evening meal and breakfast. We journey between Leeds and Scotland often. We’ll be back

We recently stayed at Falcon Manor for a weekend getaway and were absolutely blown away. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome – the building itself is stunning, set in beautiful grounds with sweeping views over the Dales. Our room was immaculate, full of character with high ceilings, period details, and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and well-equipped, with lovely touches like L’Occitane toiletries and fluffy towels. We especially enjoyed the peaceful view from our window—it was the perfect place to relax after a day of walking. The food was a real highlight. Breakfast was generous and freshly cooked (the Eggs Benedict were a standout), and dinner in the restaurant was delicious—thoughtfully presented and full of flavour. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. Nothing felt rushed or impersonal. The location is ideal if you're looking to explore the Yorkshire Dales. It's just a short walk from the centre of Settle and close to the Settle–Carlisle railway. We even brought our dog, and the hotel was incredibly dog-friendly—treats at reception and a warm welcome all around. Overall, Falcon Manor felt like a special blend of country-house charm and modern comfort. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend it for couples, walkers, or anyone looking for a stylish countryside escape.

It was quiet. You could not hear other guests at night.

Extremely nice, rustic and historic feel. Perfect English ambiance, excellent dining.

The hotel is very old and beautifully furnished with lots of quiet sitting areas. Because it is so old some doorways are very low, my husband banged his head going into the bathroom, of our room some warning

Really lovely building , staff were very friendly but I think understaffed . Bedroom was lovely , great new bathroom . Breakfast somewhat limited for me as in no natural yoghurt,granola,fruits, one type of milk- no choice It was honestly ok but like everywhere at the moment,savings have to be made and you could see that . We had a lovely stay though and it's excellent for walking into Settle

The room had a four poster bed and we had amazing views of the hills. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We decided to have our evening meal in the hotel. We had the garlic and chicken schnitzel with gnocchi, and the steak and venison pie. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and we recommend them. Portion sizes were just right for us. We shared the cheese board for two which was very good too. Breakfast was to order and we both had the full English. There was a lot of other choices too, eggs Benedict; smoked salmon and scrambled egg etc. The only disappointment was that there was not a good selection of breakfast fruits on offer. I like grapefruit or prunes which were not available.

Friendlyclean accomodating. Really lovely small hiotel. Food was excellent and the staff were so helpful.

Cold welcome from a blonde lady at reception who asked ‘can I help you’ when I walked in with my walking gear on. Perhaps she thought I was not good enough to stay there but compared to other stays this was unwelcoming! A smile and a welcome wouldn’t go amiss! Other than that The rest of the staff were lovely. The place is pretty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was cold & didn’t finish it. Partner disappointed with his breakfast also.

Fascinating building. Loved the candlelight. Very comfortable and well appointed bedroom. The breakfast was excellent, and the breakfast service staff were absolutely delightful.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely setting with rooms well ordered, Cooked breakfast was well cooked. It fruit selection poor and no plain yoghurt! Evening meal menu had something for everyone. Lovely log fires burning and a great place to stay for a celebration. Good parking and only a few minutes walk into the pretty market town which has pubs and an Indian along with lots of cafes.

Everything was spot-on!
