Fernhill Hotel

Lovely place to live and visit. Excellent views and the room was really nice.

Lovely little hotel based on a farm, in a very quiet area. The room itself looked like a older more traditional style room with a lot of wood based furniture, the shower room was more modern and honestly puts some mainstream hotels to shame, excellent shower and the water pressure was amazing. The walls were relatively soundproof, you can faintly hear someone watching tv in the other room if you really concentrated, so all good there. The only downside in the shower room was there was no room to put my shower bag anywhere, not a dealbreaker. Overall, fantastic hotel would highly recommend if the area suits, the path to the hotel is narrow though so very wide vehicles may struggle to get through.

My friend and I stayed here this weekend due to attending a festival nearby. The stable rooms are absolutely lovely, so comfortable, beautiful bathroom and lovely bed! We even had horses in stables next to us which was a lovely view to wake up too. The self serve breakfast room was so cute and had everything you could really ask for including fresh fruit, milk, breads and pastries. Will be returning with my partner for sure!

Place ok, room a bit tight, bathroom to small, no shelf for your bits, but new nicely done bathroom. No menus, ideas for evening meals out, as no restaurant on site, which would be helpful. Very comfy bed and pillows, slept well as nice and quiet. Just wish room was changed around for more space .

The property itself is a little off the beaten track and set in some beautiful countryside. The stable rooms in which I stayed are big, clean well equipped,oder and comfortable. Although there is no onsite catering for evening meals they have a kitchen for reheating your own stuff (microwave) and a large breakfast room in which you can eat takeaways. The room itself way lovely. Full length windows at the front, a big comfortable bed and a large, decent TV. WiFi was good too. All in all I found it ideal for my needs. I didn't try the continental breakfast which was available for a small up charge, but looking in the breakfast room there looked to be a good choice of muffins, crumpets toast cereal as well as juices rolls cheese and yoghurt. Sure it would be lovely if you choose it. Recommended.

I stay here regularly for work and always a great stay. Rooms are clean and cosy, very peaceful setting.

Clear instructions, beautiful scenary. warm cosy inviting rooms. All you can eat breakfast. quite and relaxing. Remote but ok.

Very nice to have the opportunity to stay on a farm, which is just a few minutes from a town. It was both quiet and with a nice view as well as convenient. Nice area to have your breakfast in as well!

Lovely place both in day time and night time. Staff are there if needed, but leave you to your own space. Will definitely use it again

Great property just a mile up the road from family. Would definitely book again for a family visit. Lovely rooms in a peaceful setting.

This was in a good location, certainly away from road noise and I had a nice view of countryside. It was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

Great rural views of the farmland and you can see Manchester (on a clear day).

Fantastic place to stay. We only stayed one night, next time we will make a weekend of it .

A very pleasant, quiet,modern and clean place to stay in farm surroundings.Contactless check in and out but no problem with this.Mattress was a bit firm but you can't please everyone with a mattress.

Lovely spot, well organised, great range of breakfast and good communication. Would highly recommend.
