The room was dirty,the base of the bed was broken,the bed was unmade,the bed linen and towels not clean and was used by a previous guest, the bathroom and shower cubicle have both not been cleaned and the toilet roll did not have the folded triagle confirming the room has been cleaned - it is such a shame as it's such a beautiful hotel with such a lot of potential and all it needs is some upliftment and tlc,I had a look at the garden and it's ever so beautiful , all it neefs is a little bit of care anf attention

After booking a received an email supposedly from the hotel which detailed opening hours of the restaurant. This email turned out to be auto generated and incorrect . There is no restaurant and the entry is wrong . Reception staff offered to prepare a microwaved meal for me which was great customer service but not the point . I couldn’t get the WiFi to work and the reception staff connected me to the staff WiFi which unfortunately wouldn’t support the uplift of files due to speed .

Contrary to website there is no restaurant or bar or reception or welcoming staff. Neither is there any instructions on the new set up of self check in or directions to rooms not in main building. The least they could provide

There was no staff at reception after 6pm, but a 24/7 telephone number. Staff were friendly and helpful. Then room was nice and cozy and clean, with complimentary breakfast and tea coffee. The only issue was there was no hot water for shower or bath as the hotel had plumbing and this caused inconvenience for me. I was offered another room to shower; however there was no time as I had been delayed and had to leave. No partial refund was given!

On arrival told "no WiFi as it being fixed later on" Bar also shut as WiFi is not working!
It was never fixed... There was a working network called hotel tho!
Lukewarm shower in morning which leaked on the floor!
No body about it mention on departure.
Porridge & croissants free in room for breakfast which the kids enjoyed. Used to do a full breakfast once apon a time.

the restaurant isn’t open from friday to sunday which isn’t really fun when your travelling from overseas, and the days they are open the hours are just bad over all. in our room we didn’t really get any internet we had to be next to the door to be able to use our phones.

If you’re just after a good clean & safe space to lay your head this fits the bill. The staff are lovely & friendly but don’t expect any food service or accessible drinks etc. whilst an incredibly lovely building there is very little going on there.

Very reasonably priced in quiet location between Dewsbury and Osset. Set back off the main road so no noise issues with good links to M1 N and S. Lovely evening meal at decent prices as well.

More of a B&B than a hotel. The hotel was closed when we arrived to check in at 1pm-early we know but it was completely emply and no one there. The restaurant did not open at all and the bar closed at 7pm. The building did not look as per the picture on your site. When the staff arrived to open the hotel they were friendly and the room was clean and pleasant enough.
