Hotel du Vin & Bistro Harrogate

Junior suite very, big, comfortable, clean and well appointed but an odd long shape, good if you had kids on the sofa bed. Staff very helpful and the food in the restaurant was good. Like all Hotel Du Vin 's we have been in recently the leather head and foot board's on the beds need either replacing or repairing, dying and polishing.

Fantastic stay, room was beautiful and the food was amazing. Highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

When we arrived, we were given the Tattinger room. On our way to the room we noticed how unkept the corridors were, with marks and chips all along the walls and woodwork. We were very disappointed when we got to our room, to find it freezing and the heating hadn’t been put on. We popped the heating on and left the hotel to get drinks in the hope it would be warm when we got back to the hotel. Thankfully when we arrived back, it was warm, but we shouldn’t have to do this in a 4* hotel. The room itself was creaky and in need of a good paint. The wallpaper was coming away in parts and the wardrobes looked dirty and chipped. We decided to cancel our dinner reservation and eat out of the hotel on the evening, as first impressions weren’t great and we didn’t hold up much hope for the dining area. However, the next day, we did enjoy our breakfast. Staff were pleasant enough, although we didn’t have a lot of interactions. Overall, we weren’t impressed and could have had a similar stay at a nearby travel lodge. Huge updates are needed in the corridors and I imagine all the rooms, if a hotel suite, was looking so tatty.

The room was spacious and stylish. The bed was too firm for me. The bathroom was spotless. Food and service in the Bistro was very good and good value. The breakfast was almost perfect. Scrambled eggs and salmon was very tasty but the plates were not hot. The coffee in the machine was also just lukewarm.

Very well located for central Harrogate, short walk from Bettys, shops and station. Amenities in the room were decent and bed and towels lovely quality. We had a basement room which was difficult to access with luggage but even the steps to main door are difficult so not a good spot to stay if you require accessible space but otherwise good

The hotel is stunning, the room was spotless and very comfortable, the staff were fantastic and really went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

Walking distance to town. Food was good. Rooms were clean and tidy. Bar staff were pleasant. Lovely setting.

Very friendly and polite staff, informative and helpful as this was our first stay in Harrogate. The room was a lovey size, well decorated and appointed, and the bathroom was similarly of a great size with a good size roll top bath and shower. Lovely view over the park. A lovely meal and a few drinks were enjoyable in the dining room. The only small negative was the entrance area includes the only lounge/seating area and bar, and as the Christmas parties were in full swing, there was nowhere, apart from your room where you could sit quietly and relax. Apart from that a superb overnight stay.

Clean hotel

Reception brilliant and helpful as always however the standards of the rest not the same we could tell instantly a new company had taken over staff so different not enough .no bar staff had to wait while they found someone rooms were always immaculate not so now we have used this hotel for years please go back to how it was also cash is king card only .
