Humber Royal Hotel

Good stay with a great , quiet room. Service and breakfast excellent. However, there was an issue with housekeeping, being left only 1 towel between 2 adults twice, the first time being left a dirty towel. We told reception who quickly sorted the issue.

Room was smarter as was externals, had a refresh? Breakfast was much as previous, they need new toasters, meal arrives from kitchen before a couple of slices of bread look even a pale shade of brown! Bacon was a challenge for the knives provided, not crispy just shoe leather hard.

Lovely cosy warm room overlooking the golf course. Dining area was chilly unfortunately. As usual staff excellent namely Sofie and Ratchel

Staff were nice, room large with a view of the golf course. Hot breakfast was ordered but the continental selection was quite limited.

Room was supposed to be a deluxe state but it was anything but. The room needed a redecoration, it was not of a standard that would be considered deluxe. A room at a premier inn would outdo this room . It was needing a good clean. The bathroom was dirty by the bath tap and the sink as well as the extractor fan. It also needs a refurb. Mould showing around the tiles.it all looked drab and tired. Nothing deluxe about it- I feel we paid over the odds for this room. The lift wasn’t working( we had received an email before arriving but we thought it would be possibly working by our arrival- it wasn’t and the whole time we stayed we didn’t see any work being done to get the lift working. The stairs looked dirty as well as the carpeting both on the stairs and leading to the rooms as well as it was bubbling up ready to cause a trip hazard . The eating area was next to the reception- all open plan; it was chilly- no barriers to help make it feel like a private place to eat and relax. No idea why this wasn’t thought of at the planning stage. It would have cut down the noise and echo as well as the feel one was eating in a room and not a big reception area with all the comings and going’s of people arriving for rooms or the ins and outs of people from the conference area using the toilets. Very disappointing visit. We thought we had found a gem of a hotel to stay at while visiting family.

No lift and room of 4th floor. Whole place is very tired and need of significant upgrade

Room was fine if a bit dated, bath was a bit rusty. Bed comfortable and slept well. Friendly welcome from Callum on reception and same at check out.

This was for a 2 night stay whilst visiting a family member in Grimsby hospital....the hotel was exactly what i needed and breakfast was good in the morning. Comfortable and clean and very pleased about the fan in the room as it was very hot

Love the EV chargers and good parking and price

Ideal location, clean comfortable, if somewhat aged in appearance. This time the breakfast menu was limited due to the availability of certain items, but overall a pleasant stay.
