Yay - Nespresso machine! Handy location, loved the decor. Very characterful building, excellent English breakfast. Perfect for overnighting for Blenheim palace, and please don't miss the Museum of Oxford life just up the street - it's a little gem.

Perfect hotel for the Blenheim Palace Festival. Literally a 5 minute walk to the grounds. Great decor, functional room and a lovely little restaurant with great food. The the staff were really friendly and checking in/out was quick and simple. Thanks for a great stay.

Our room was on the top floor, the temp outside was around 25C, temp in the room was 30-35C there were 2 fans in the room but they didn’t make any difference, it was difficult to sleep to put it mildly.
(We have had a spell of exceptionally hot weather in the UK)
On a positive, Sunday lunch was very good with great service, breakfast was also ok.

Housekeeping was appalling! On arrival, toilet seat round on a square toilet, hanging off its hinges! On usage, totally swung off! Why was this not reported prior to our arrival?
Dressing table ...I placed my jewellery box in the front drawer, only to discover a full dust after a couple of inches into said drawer! Empty coffee pod/ dust/ cobwebs underneath Dressing table, also, underneath the bed! Couple of issues were dealt with promptly though. Cold tap constantly dripping unable to fully turn off..Why was this not reported?? No communication from Housekeeping to Management whatsoever. 1st morning, post breakfast we were relaxing on the bed/ granted, no 'Do not disturb' sign displayed, but door opened with knocking.

Perfect in every way except I listened to someone walking around in a room above mine. Floorboards squeaking trough the night. Not a lot of point staying at a hotel if you can’t sleep. Disappointing because otherwise it a really good, including excellent staff.

This was our second break at kings arms and we had a lovely time again.
Room lovely and clean as always. Well stocked. Breakfasts excellent as is the orangery room. Which the wallpaper is so nice to look at. Cool on a hot day with fans. We were lucky to have a good fan provided in room. Which was essential as weekend stayed warm weather. Bath products good to use too. I do like the espresso machine in room. Perfect for relaxing evening with tv and comfortable bed. We also had sunday roast which was very good also. Service very good. Staff very friendly and helpfull.

The Kings Arm was in such a good location in Woodstock within walking distance of all the shops and beautiful Blenheim Palace. It is nice to stay in such a historic pub and hotel, but as with many aged facilities there are some trade offs. The bed was very comfortable, but the room could get incredibly hot. The room is also quite tight for 2 travelers. The small shower needed servicing as the metal soap, shampoo holder was totally hanging off one side and also had poor drainage, once leaking on the floor. Unfortunately on one of the days we were there we also woke up to no running water and there still was no water when we returned near bedtime. I did request some sort of compensation for inconvenience but none was offered. Also there is a bad odor in the upstairs corridor from years of frying fish downstairs or something and allergens were quite pronounced here.Parking is on the street and you must pay for it. We were directed to a “free “ car park but ended up getting a parking ticket there because it was changed to pay parking some months ago and is poorly signed as such. However, the breakfasts were very good, offering both continental and cooked to order options and are eaten in a lovely atrium. The staff was super friendly and accommodating to our needs. Despite the hiccups stated we very much enjoyed our stay.

My room was nice, but half the lighting didn't work, and the hot water system broke overnight leaving all guests unable to take a shower.l

The room was clean but stuffy - window could not be opened. There was a skeleton staff during the day, but nobody at night. Street parking was quite distant from hotel and costly. Breakfast was OK, although we would have liked to have some fresh fruit or a fruit salad.

Room was beautiful decorated with decent sized bathroom, great shower and toiletries, very comfortable bed and nespresso coffee machine. It was quite warm despite the heating being off, but we were able to open the window a bit and there was a fan already in the room.
Breakfast was an unexpected treat! Menu options were great for hot food (you get to choose one dish) with savoury and sweet options (I regret not also ordering the banana bread with coffee cream!) as well as pastries, fruit, yogurt and fresh juice. We opted for the cooked breakfast and it was such high quality.
On-street parking was initially a bit confusing but we found a spot just round the corner and not unreasonably priced.
Overall thought this was a great value for money visit and we will certainly be back.
