It was a really comfortable stay. Once we got the room warm it was like a sanctuary from the awful damp drizzly weather outside.

Excellent, perfect in every way, would recommend.

Poor value for £145 a night. On arrival we were informed that the heating to our room had been turned off 'but it will warm up'. it was so cold I requested a portable heater be put in the room, this was eventually brought, but due to most of the room being open stone flooring we were cold for some time. Standard of decor was uninviting and breakfast very average. We would not recommend this place. It's an £80 a night B&B at best.

Beautiful English Countryside stay...

The room was incredible and the greeting by one of the owners was really loved. Made me feel very welcome.

They were such friendly and excellent hosts! Fidget, the dog, was a wonderful breakfast companion. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Such a relaxing place to stay. Room overlooked garden and was so cosy with comfy sofa and bed. 2 glasses and small decanter of sherry was awaiting us on arriving along with bowl of sweeties. Lovely touch. Tea coffee making facilities with milk and water in fridge. Powerful shower in the en-suite. Breakfast next morning was plentiful and delicious

Magpies is a homely accommodation to explore South Downs. Me and my wife had a lovely stay over the may bank holiday weekend. Jane’s hospitality was fantastic during our stay. Would love to stay again when travelling to west sussex area.

A really lovely, smooth and friendly welcome from Jane, despite the late hour. I met their dog, who is lovely! Great room, very comfy, very peaceful. Excellent bathroom facilities and a ginormous bath mat which was very luxurious. I requested an early breakfast which was a bit cheeky given that it was the weekend but Jane could not have been more accommodating. A truly great little place. I'd have loved to stay for longer but unfortunately this was a work trip so time was short.
