Marlin Apartments London City - Queen Street

Bathroom needs improved ventilation. Shower should have hand holds. Kitchen was good. The bed is classified as a double or full not a king size bed as advertised. The subway train runs under the property every 45 seconds. Not all night. Overall however very nice area, safe, quiet. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again for sure.

Only stayed one night to attend a function at the Mansion House. The apartment was very well appointed, comprehensively provided with equipment for all needs. Great value for money. Most impressed.

Pretty great location. Could use a bit of TLC, and washer/dryer combo was tricky to use!

The staff went over and above for us. We needed an adapter for the UK and one of the gentlemen offered us his own for use. We had a quiet unit on the 6th floor with all the amenities we needed. The location is amazing. Just across the bridge from the Burrow and very close to the bus stops.

Als Apartment mit Koch Möglichkeit ist ausreichend. Location ist gut, Nähe Bank, Mansion Tube Station. Ist halt funktionstüchtig. Zustand bisschen alt modisch. Aber wie gesagt, ausreichend. Aufpassen, check out 10:30, danach muss man Geld zahlen. Early checken in vor 15:00 kostet auch Geld. Hotel ist da mehr flexible.

Did not like that they charge so much over everything. And we asked for extra bed sheets they said because we didnt put more than two sleeps we were not allowed to have extra blanket even when we were cold and also they told us they would charge us extra £45 to use a sofa bed that was already in the room that i paid for! It was abit rubbish. But the apartment looked really nice and the furniture and everything.

Everything was great apart from the fact that you could feel and hear the tube going past from early in the morning until late at night.

First things first: it helps if you're not a light sleeper, as a Tube line runs underneath the building. That said, if you're a really light sleeper then maybe a hotel in the central busness district of the world's greatest city isn't for you anyway. Aside from the odd rumble, the rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and extremely well-equipped. Palatial by London standards. Having a full kitchen in the apartment makes a massive difference. I fully intend to come back with my family and use it as a base to explore.

Bra boende i lugnt område. I köket fanns allt man behövde, nära till mataffären. Bra utgångspunkt för att ta sig runt i London, till fots eller med kollektivtrafik. Väldigt nöjd med att vi valde detta boende.

It was close to two Tube stations. The reception was very nice and helpful. We liked all of it.

Incredible location. Very clean rooms. Really luxurious bedding and nice furniture. The washint machine and dish washer were fussy. Water was never really super hot in the shower. Oven only really worked with grill, not fan. Didnt have a plug in the sink. Nothing terrible and we were very happy, but would have 5 starsed it if all the equipment in the apartment was working.

Apartment was old fashioned and shabby Also dark Noisy woken up by people above taking a shower that ran down side of bedroom I work on the next block so was hoping this would be a regular booking as so convenient but it was too bad

While the apartment was huge, well appointed and very clean, the level of noise was absolutely horrendous. My room was on the 1st floor and every 2 mins tube trains go underneath and shake the room and are super loud. Eventually they stopped at about 1am and then the noise outside didn’t stop from the street! I complained to reception after my first night and was told “oh yes, we get a lot of complaints about the first floor rooms because of noise”. But they couldn’t move me to another room. Second night I had to sleep with headphones on which was very uncomfortable. If you are going to stay here. Ensure you are on at least the 4th or 5th floor. My colleague could still hear the trains all night on the 3rd floor.

Avoid at all costs! Train shakes make sleep impossible. We came into reception after a long day of travel to be greeted by the rumble of the train while INSIDE the building. Reception said it was quiet in the rooms and don't worry. It was worse in the rooms. Every minute or so a train would shake the rooms. We were exhausted and tried to sleep through it. It was awful. In the morning we asked to cancel our reservation moving forward. They refused. They offered another room - but after they said the first room would be quiet and it wasn't, we were not going to trust their word again - Marlin Apartments failed miserably and didn't deliver. We had to make last minute arrangements so we could sleep. We tried to work with hotels.com and Marlin repeatedly to get reimbursed for the nights we didn't stay - we believe in fairness and paying for our night - but the management at Marlin was incredibly rude and trite in their responses. I'm sure they'll boiler plate some response to this - and it will in no way make up for the terrible service. We didn't receive reasonable accommodations, nor were they honest in their assessment of their spaces. No services beyond the first night were delivered and yet they want to keep our money. It's not a space rest, unless you're accustomed to loud shakes and rumbles. Also, the apartment space, while spacious, was not in the best condition - a faucet was broken and one of the fans had fallen apart. There's a smell in the space as well. Avoid it!

The apartment had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Great location with easy access to the tube. Friendly staff and locals. Only thing missing was a table and chairs on the balcony but i guess you cant have everything.

Terrific location, multiple tube stations nearby, comfortable apartment. Ned was terrific. Living room could have more seating than the couch.
