The place is better for young ones if they have to climb up the floor. But the restaurant serves a great menu and a nice place for solo travellers or younger ones due to the steps.

Pleasant accomodation above a busy pub. We were room 11, probably furthest away from the pub so not disturbed by any noise.

Room very basic with no surface to put your stuff on tea making tray is on the one bedside cabinet next to your head while in bed! Had to put it on the floor for safety. This room had space for a desk so it should have one the floor was littered with our belongings. The pillows and duvet are old discolored and flat! We bought two pillows!
When asked for the three magners in a bucket at the bar we were told they had discontinued that offer but it was on sale the following night. Also residents bar discount was discontinued. beware live music very loud until 2am fri and Sat. No chance of sleeping!

It delivered what we expected and no issues. Parking was opposite and not too expensive. Food and drink in pub downstairs. Clean linens and toiletries so it was good stay.

Fantastic stay for MCM Comic Con at the Excel centre. The family that run the pub as well as the hotel are lovely and so friendly, the room was cosey but perfect for our stay. We usually put a do not disturb sign on when we're staying for a few nights, as we are happy to use towels for a few days and think about the eco impact of having your room cleaned everyday. On our second day back we found a bag on the door and a note with some extra tea and sugar as well as fresh towels if we wanted them, which we've never had before and is so, so kind.
The food in the pub is lovely as well and was a great place to eat, but there are loads of options in the area!
The music is loud and stops at about 2am over the weekend and midnight during the week, but for us on the top floor it wasn't too bad and we could still get to sleep during it. Would definately come back and stay.

Got a room that looked okay but carpet had not been vacuumed properly. The air conditioner did not work and the shower tray was dirty with hair and debris left there.
Have stayed on the property before so expected better
