Nyton Hotel

Great value for a good night sleep, a really nice breakfast and bery generous room, all a 9 minute walk from the Cathedral.

Nobody on reception Hotel had basically emergency lighting on so had to use torch ( inside & outside) to navigate and call someone to get room ie get key behind desk - no breakfast even though was included in room rate and again nobody available on checkout 2* hotel at best

Great place to stay, only a short walk to the City Centre. Nice spacious room and amenities with a good breakfast.

Room was great, very friendly owners, super breakfast.

Breakfast was good with frie dly service. Early room access was available. Cold room. But had plug in heater to warm up. access was available.

Arrival was traumatic. Property was poorly signposted and unlit so I drove past. The forecourt was so dark I had to use the light on my phone to get from my car to the door. The man who checked me in gave hurried and unclear instructions and did not take time to answer my questions or show me how things worked. The room was clean but shabby, with some wallpaper beginning to peel. The toilet was cramped, the shower only ran at one heat setting and the hairdryer was broken. The bed and the breakfast were ok so I could sleep and eat but overall not a pleasant experience.

And a large mature garden with eclectic tables and chairs - reminiscent of the Raj era. Beds extremely comfortable.

I like this place. Makes a change to the big chains. Characterful rooms,good breakfast. Hotel is in very nice grounds

The stay was relaxed and comfortable with a flexible approach to checking in which was appreciated. Rooms are cosy, and the hotel was quiet and perfect for sleeping in.

Very old building, but being kept well, lovely peaceful garden , beds Very comfortable.

The hotel was lovely. The room was comfortable, with a lovely view over the garden. Breakfast was filling. Anna was most kind.

Great facilities in room, and great service. Lovely garden. Quirky building. Walkable into Ely Centre.

It was clean & breakfast was good. The property was fine, a little dated but it needs a refurb. Location was suoerb.Shower over bath went very hot & I was unable to adjust it.

Quaint and slightly dated, but very clean and quiet, good breakfast - in this day and age excellent value.

Keys waiting when I arrived, Room tidy. Bed linen very clean and crisp. Easy walking distance to town and cathedral. Good quality breakfast

large premises with nice grounds, good location for Cathedral etc, seems the General Manager ovesees most tasks , The room #1 was clean but could fo land we could leave cases in room ahead of the official check in time. It fell apart however with the evening meal which we did not enjoy. The GM wore scruffy paint splattered trousers and this was distracting , years ago it was the diners who were encouraged to dress a bit smart, which we did in those days. the lamb was tough and the veg. hard, Manager and my husband disagreed on the quality of the food, to be to be honest He left most of it. rather wish we had gone to a pub ,,

The owner would prepare food of our choice, the quality was very high standard.

Staff very polite and caring.

We had anbe excellent 3 days at the Nyton, very welcoming warm staff, bedrooms were basic but adequate, breakfast and evening meals were excellent.

Overall a very friendly stay in a beautiful setting. Very well looked after and convenient for a walk into the Cathedral area
